Philippians 1:21 KJV says, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better - NLT).

Philippians 2:21 NIV says, "For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ."

If you were accused of being a Christian where you work, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Or would you be found innocent of all charges? II Corinthians 5:18-20 says that every Christian has been given the Ministry of Reconciliation as Ambassadors for Christ, empowered to deliver a message as though Jesus were performing the task.

Which scripture do you live in, Philippians 1:21 or Philippians 2:21? Are you living for Christ or are you living for self?

Jesus said theses words in Matthew 15:8, "These people draw near unto Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me."

Do you think there are people who don't draw near to the Lord with their mouth or honor Him with their lips but their Heart is Near to Him?

Do you ever wish that you weren't so dumb? I do, all the time. I wish I knew exactly what I was supposed to do and when I was supposed to do it.

Christianity is a major offense to a lot of people. Just believing God exists is a major offense to a lot of people.

And when I think of them it makes me think maybe I'm not as dumb as I think I am...

I have a special place in my heart for atheists. I think they are really dumb. But they think they are smarter than everyone else. So it makes for some interesting conversations.

For conversation starters please answer your own question first - are you living for Christ or are you living for self? If you are living for Christ can you offer a practical example in how you do this in your day to day life so that others may consider and possibly emulate?
