I cannot begin to count the times I have told you that one does not have to be water baptized first to then receive the Holy Ghost afterward.
The Word records some people getting the Holy Ghost first and afterward getting baptized in water. Acts 2 and 10
And, there are times when people get water baptized first. Acts 8 and 19
The point is both water and Holy Ghost baptisms occurred in all cases.
Church orthodoxy has everybody getting water baptized not scripture. You espouse a false doctrine that forces the Holy Spirit to act in a capricious fashion. You do not seek the Holy Spirit to lead. You seek to make the Holy Spirit do what you want. You want tongues even though they have ended.

do you have to come out and say the actual words?

I don't find a difference between the 2

apparently, neither is correct. you can't take a stand on something and then say well what I said is not as bad

actually salvation is not between God and each individual. we are not islands floating around hoping for the best

don't put words in mouth regarding heresy. what Paul teaches on tongues is true and still happening today

your anger will be seen? do you have any idea of how silly that sounds?

I mean what does that even mean? nonsense
You do like to read into what others say what is not said.
Salvation is a personal thing between each individual and God.
I have no part in yours and you have no part in mine.
For any of us to believe that a person is not saved because they do not do as I do or believe as I do is judging.
If you want to call that nonsense, well, enjoy.

What are the greater works that the body of Jesus on earth will do EG?
The body cans transmit the Gospel at the speed of light to every corner of the World.

The body can deliver food in a matter of days all over the World.

The body can clothe the needy all over the World in days.

The body can send gifted Drs. and lifesaving medicine all over the World in days.

This is just a few of the greater works that Jesus may have been talking about. All them unthinkable in His day.

I too worked in the medical field. Nursing.

But, I understand what happens when the power of God hits one and they move....none are hurt. Healed, delivered of whatever afflictions may be, but not physically hurt.

That's the point I make!
I understand how th epower of God works too. We have a whole bible of examples which shows us what happens.

Amd forgive me, But what you are standing up for looks NOTHING like the biblical example.

Do you not see that God is not just in the 66 books? Jesus said and did so many things that the world could not contain all the books written of them. John. Or is he a liar?
So you believe God left us an incomplete bible?

I am sorry sis. But I can not continue this, This is making me sick to my stomach thinking any child of God can believe the stuff you are defending and saying.

It would be great to see actual scriptures that backup your interpretation.
1. Jesus said a man must be born of water and Spirit to enter Heaven.
2. It is not normal for God to use different ways for individuals or groups to be saved. God's word will always and does confirm itself. If what you say is true, judgment day will be very interesting.
3. Not so. Peter said repent, and be baptized EVERYONE of you in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. NOTICE: No comment about already receiving the gift. He said ye shall (future tense)
4. No. This occurred to show that all groups of people were to follow the example first presented to the Jews on the Day of Pentecost. All of mankind is made up of these groups; Jews, Gentiles, Samaritans. (half Jew-Half Gentile)
5. I disagree again. The disciples at Ephesus again were shown and followed the 3 things commanded after belief in Jesus' sacrifice.
This account debunks your belief that the Jewish, Gentile, an Samaritan experiences are only recorded to show they are included in God's salvation plan. The account depicts no specific group, but rather individuals receiving and acting upon the same message given by Peter.
6. The evidence of tongues at the infilling of the Holy Ghost differs from the Spiritual gift of tongues explained by Paul in 1 Corinthians. One provides evidence of the infilling providing a means of communicating with God's Spirit. The other is a gift given and interpreted for edification of the church body.

Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom which he then presented on the Day of Pentecost. I could see you objecting to one not following commands in the Word; however, you disparage those who accept and act in obedience to the Word.

Very confusing.
Once again....

Lets cut to the chase, do you believe that Peter is saying in acts 2: 32 that remission of sin is obtained when we are water baptized, in other words. Water baptism saves.

I like the point he makes about people thinking they have reached some pinnacle/plateau of spiritual experience.

And the whole idea of "mysteries" and its connection to the occult (secret societies).

Generally do not listen to MacArthur...however he gives a very sensible talk here.

Come on EG....state what you believe. You are hiding behind rude comments.
I already told you what I believe, And everyone here knows it. And it is back by the examples the bible shows us

Again, The bible does not show examples of people healing others the way you have them doing it in your local churches.

I must side with scripture. Not experience or what people tell me I should believe.

There it is! EG has been NOTHING but kind and loving, but no matter how hard he tries, the fact that he is not going for this stuff ALWAYS elicits this type of response.

Have you raised the dead? That's what we are discussing. And cancer....delivered from immediately? Or chemo and radiation, plus surgery?
Why on earth are not all these people who claim to be healing others spending their time in the hospital wards , hospices etc , instead of a stage raking in money from those who are truly seeking our LORD , but being taken down the broad path , why are they not in the war countries , healing the bodies that have been blown up , losing their limbs etc , and using the power what they claim comes from God , instead of knocking people over each other , I just don`t get it...

Maybe if they went to the hospices etc , they could truly show the power of God to unbelievers eyes , now that would be Amazing...xox...

Joh 21:24 This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them down. We know that his testimony is true.

Joh 21:25 Of course, Jesus also did many other things, and I suppose that if every one of them were written down the world couldn't contain the books that would be written.

Now tell me again EG, that the 66 books contain all that Jesus ever did and said. Or do you love your doctrine more than truth?

Because my dear Rosemary....one who is led by Holy Spirit follows Him. Not the will of man. Ask Jesus why He didn't go to all.

I'm reminded of a time when we went out door to door to witness to the lost. When we got to a door and asked the persons inside if they were saved some would say I'm catholic. They did not say yes I'm saved but they went right to the main reason they considered themselves in right relationship to God.

I see a terrifying similarity to what we have with todays Pentecostals. I speak in tongues so I must be saved. I speak in tongues because I'm baptized in the Holy Spirit. I have yet to see where they just simply give a testimony of having trusted Christ to save them from their sins. Reasons galore but none that point to Christ as Savior.

Eventually the catholic church began to teach their people to answer our questions to inoculate them for the truth.

I still say the most absurd idea I have seen with Pentecostals is the idea that they pray in tongues. Always seeking tangible proof of that which is received by grace through faith.
