The heart hungers and thirsts for righteousness and fellowship with God.

First, just pray and ask God to create in you a burning desire - a hungering and thirsting for His righteousness and fellowship with Him, while you are on the Earth.

You don't want to wait until you get to Heaven, desire a relationship with Him now on Earth.

Matthew 5:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

You'll hear different voices in your head - they all sound like your voice, as if you are just talking to yourself but, it's not always you. It's very important to know the difference.

Some can be demonic - these will always say bad things about you and other people. Full of guilt, shame, condemnation.

When it's you, you're just contemplating a decision and trying to understand something.

When it's God - The Father, the words are overwhelming love and encouraging, edifying, building you up in the knowledge of being completely loved and accepted - warts and all! (Read Chapters 1 - 5 of Proverbs - this is the Father's Voice.)

When it's God - The Son (Yeshua/Jesus), the words are full of great desire for relationship - like follow me, walk with me, let me help you, I am with you. (Read everything Jesus said in "red ink" in the 4 Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - get familiar with the way He talks to you so you'll recognize His Voice.) (Read the Song of Solomon to understand how He talks to His Bride - His Beloved.)

When it's God - The Holy Spirit, draws you to God's Word the Bible and as you read and ask questions, the Holy Spirit answers you and teaches you from the Word. Also, in sadness the Holy Spirit speaks comforting words to you in your thoughts, very sweet, very comforting, very edifying. (Read Psalm 8 - to understand the Voice of Wisdom - the Voice of the Teacher.)

Day before yesterday i was worshiping the Lord early and he showed me why he cursed the fig tree.
As he walked about flowers would bloom as he walked by.
As he left a home,a tree in the front yard would produce a few fruit even out of season.
The fig tree did not. It was disobedient.

It seems the point is,there is no "out of season" for his people.
Fruit is normal for the one filled with the Holy Spirit.

After the Baptism in the Holy Spirit it is easy to hear God.

But hunger drives us to seek God.
I love it when he call me out to the woods behind my house to worship him. He draws me. It is disarming,( his beckoning).
Lorie Wilke has a book "the costly anointing".

We were never meant to serve him outside of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The bible (nt) was written by Holy Ghost baptised men,to Holy Ghost baptised belivers.
I believe it is the Holy Spirit that moves in our hunger.
IOW,we can not even properly hunger after him without the Holy Spirit.

Smith Wigglesworth has some amazing insight concerning the Holy Spirit.

Hello Absolutely,

That's beautiful! "Out of Season Fruit"...... reminds me of this verse:

Jeremiah 17:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lordis.

8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The greatest fruit is love because it contains everything - kind of an "all inclusive" fruit.(y)

A couple of things

I have never read any scripture that supports the flowers blooming and trees producing fruit when Jesus passed by in or out of season. I think that would be a notable occurrence and that someone would have noticed and wrote something indicating that.
If you have scripture please share.

I wonder how it sounded when Jesus said stuff like let the dead bury the dead. I don't think that nice feelings is any measure of it being God's voice. Through out the Bible there are many who followed God but had to overcome great fear to do as asked.
Jesus went to the cross under great stress so as to sweat blood. I don't know that the warm fuzzies was ever part of that.
“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
LUKE 14:26‭-‬27 NASB

None of that sounds like warm loving accepting things to say.

I will comment only on the words bout family. Did you select your family and relatives before birth¿ I certainly did not. I know I love the Maker of all that is more than anything or anyone because His love for all is perfect and eternal.. My parents were pretty brutish at times, and YES, I love God more than they or even than I.

Now having confessed this much, I know I love every member of my family, my enemies, and most of all, all who are members of theBody of Christ. This is the natural attitude after having received the HOly Spirit. It is very easy to criticize, but wisdom exacts understaning. God bbless you now anad always.,

And to think all this time I have been using scripture to interpret scripture and reading the whole passage in context you see Jesus enter the city and everyone worshiping
Then Jesus sees a tree covered in leaves and curses it
Then he enters the temple and throws out the money changers and teaches with authority and suddenly the priests want to kill him and there is no throng of worshipers.
Like a tree covered in leaves but no actual fruit.

Those who went in front and those who followed were shouting: “Hosanna! B lessed is H e who comes in the name of the Lord ; Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David; Hosanna in the highest!” Jesus entered Jerusalem and came into the temple; and after looking around at everything, He left for Bethany with the twelve, since it was already late. On the next day, when they had left Bethany, He became hungry. Seeing at a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. He said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” And His disciples were listening. Then they *came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves; and He would not permit anyone to carry merchandise through the temple. And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘M y house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations ’? But you have made it a robbers ’ den .” The chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching. When evening came, they would go out of the city. As they were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up.

Jesus never intended us to hate our families. The Greek word in Luke 14:26 can mean "love less" by extension. Indeed, Matthew has the same content but says it much clearer.

Matt. 10:37 "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me."

Lafftur brings up some very good points about discerning spirits. When a demonic spirit speaks to us, it is often in a belittling or demeaning tone. Almost always trying to make us feel guilty and discouraged.

Our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit never talk that way to us. They always edify and encourage us to press on with confidence. Like Christ said: John 10:27
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"(y)

There have been times when God spoke to me, it sounded nothing like my voice, nor like any other voice in my mind. It was unmistakable. I recognized it for what and Who it was. Even as an unbeliever, I could hardly deny what I heard, though in that state, there was one time at least, that I surely wanted to. People say the darndest things, too! Such as, God no longer speaks to people. Best to ignore such naysayers. God reveals Himself to whom He will, as He wills. And I praise God for that! :):)

Amen to that Magenta. God came to me in the motel room where I had planned to kill myself long before I got saved. I was ready to put a 12-gauge shotgun into my mouth and blow my brains out. At first, I thought I was arguing with myself. But in retrospect there was a presence there that was very calm and all knowing. I was anything but calm. That presence told me just how everyone I cared about would view what I was about to do. I thought I was doing everyone a favor but instead I would hurt them deeply. Now, when God talks to me, I see how much it is like it was then.(y):)

They may always say bad things, but often with sweetness and a smile, so it sounds good....

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

I typed up a whole explanation, but why bother. If we will not take a statement of Christ in it's complete text and context. Why would they read mine in full?

one drop of the living water is enough -- He says, whoever drinks will never thirst, and whoever eats will never hunger

teach us to be content & thankful in every circumstance
