Would I be correct in the understanding that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and that by believing in His death, burial, and resurrection I am saved? I guess I would also include that He is the son of God (the Father) and God Himself.
Believe His teaching make us save.

Only believe that Jesus is God, not save us

Devil Olson believe that Jesus is God and not save.

Believe His teaching mean believe that Jesus is God and invite or abide in Him

abide doesn't mean believe. Fire doesn't necessarily mean hell. It often means temporal wrath. It also refers to bad works being burned up at the judgment seat of Christ. If what you believe is true-then we're all hellbound, because we all sometimes fail to "abide."

I feel that some are thinking that they get saved by speaking from the mouth.
Well, maybe they have something.

Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."

Isaiah 43:25, 26 "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified."

Nice scripture but how does It relate to getting saved I mean does GOD need to hear words before HE will save you?

I would say no, He does not. He wants to hear from your heart just what you believe and stand for. Sometimes when speaking, we are talking to ourselves and the enemy that is trying to steal your faith. When we declare our justification, we are telling the spirit world just where we dwell mentally. All the while reminding ourselves what we expect of our faith walk.

You say abide do not mean believe, than what is abide mean?

You believe being burn mean temporal judgment, where in this verse say burn mean temporal judgement.

Yes we are always fail, but Jesus also say, we must born again to be save.

When we born again, there is new focus or priority born in our life.

It was money, fame, now focus on eternal life, focus to love Jesus and other more then selfishness

We may fall in sin, but we getting better and better.

Only believe that Jesus is God without transformation is not save

Devil believe in God but not save

Transformation do not mean our work.

Transformation is His work.

Branch can not bear fruit of itself

Mean we can work to produce fruit.

Good work or loving work is God work not our.

Uh oh...
you're using verses out of context....

John 15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

there are two sorts of brances here

branches that bare fruit
_____
"every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit"
"He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit"

and branches void of any fruit
____
"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned"
"As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself"

this whole thing is largely an example of the power of CHRIST in His own

compared to the lack of power in fakers

dont you understand when this is being said?

what judas already did and what was about to happen?

.....
this is about two separate sorts of men/women who claim to be in Him and are part of the congregation

nothing to do with how to earn salvation

(it is a gift by grace through faith)

nothing to do with the loss of salvation to one of His

You quoted Didymous.

It seems you were trying to disagree with him.

Anyone can cut and paste scriptures without context....

john 10
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
________
1 peter

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

________

Romans 11:
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

_______

John 6:36-40
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
__________

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
_________

Now do you agree that we are saved by grace through faith and NOT OF OURSELVES....

Or do you believe the false teachings that "fruits" are a requirement for salvation... and not a product of His works in those who will in no wise be cast out...

No,you can know.and understand what he did and what the bible says cover to cover and go to hell with knowledge.
Becoming born again is accepting the person of Jesus into your heart.
It is being born again with or without knowledge.
I got saved with zero knowledge.

Rubbish. What nonsense is this?
There ain't two gospels preached. Paul is preaching and upholding exactly the same gospel as that espoused by Jesus and
described in Acts.
Problem is people can't read scritpure.
The 2 gospel thingy is relatively new to me,but i got a handle on it right away.
It is corruption of Gods word.
Insideous and cunning, sucking in those that know not the word.
My only defense in seeing it is that i live in the word. And the massive, massive red flag of the pauline epistles pitted against the "SUBSERVIANT INFERRIOR" rest of the nt.
Devaluing even the spoken words of Jesus.

Side note;
I dont know of anyone getting saved by someone preaching a perfect gospel.
Seems Jesus comes into my heart previously plowed and broken, and pulled into a heart in total surrender.
Every single believer i know of SURRENDERED with very little understanding of Jesus's accomplished work.
I personally knew nothing, and neither did paul at conversion.

If you are following the model in acts 2, it is based on the gospel of the kingdom where you need to accept Jesus as the promised messiah and the Son of God.

Unfortunately you are not a Jew so that promise was not for you.
NIV1984 Ephesians 2:11-22
One in Christ Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (that done in the body by the hands of men)— remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the PROMISE, without hope and without God in the world. BUT NOW IN CHRIST JESUS you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Which brings us back to verse 10.

NIV1984 Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s workmanship, created IN CHRIST JESUS (IN HIS BODY) to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

NIV1984 Ephesians 4:11-16
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

How do you address Romans 10:9-10?

Have you been convicted about your sin, Christ's righteousness and the certain eternal judgment on those who die apart from Christ? John 16:8-11

Belief is more than a mental ascent.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
Yes, it's one thing to merely believe "mental assent" that the death, burial and resurrection of Christ "happened" and yet another thing to believe in our HEART/TRUST in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation. (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

I like how Greek scholar A.T. Robertson explains it - Two kinds of connections with Christ as the vine (the merely cosmic which bears no fruit, the spiritual and vital which bears fruit). The fruitless (not bearing fruit, mh peron karpon) the vine-dresser "takes away" (airei) or prunes away. Probably (Bernard) Jesus here refers to Judas. - https://www.biblestudytools.com/commentaries/robertsons-word-pictures/john/john-15.html

Yes! This is the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! God loved us so much He gave of Himself, that is, His very own Son....Heb 1:3 states Jesus is the expressed image and representation of God Himself. In order to reconcile mankind to Himself (2 Cor 5:19), a major holy work had to happen in the spirit realm, which could only be accomplished by a holy and perfect incarnation of God. When we receive Christ, we receive a new spirit in us, which connects us to God through Christ (John 3). “Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, Chastised for our iniquities (Isa. 53)... and by His stripes we are healed.“. God put all judgement due to mankind’s sin upon Jesus, and extended His forgiveness. All we have to do is say yes Lord, thank You for forgiving and saving me. As we read in Rom 8, Jesus is the Firstborn among creation, and we partake of His inheritance as we receive Him and continue in Him.
