1Jn 3:6 (ESV) No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.

What have to do a person to not "keeping on sinning" but working out his own salvation? We all are sinners, but some of us need to fight hard against our weaknesses to not "keeping on sinning" ...

I know my fight or its results are not that what make me saved ... but I can't stop fighting and give myself to sin waiting that practicing sin any faith can save me.
(We all are sinners). Well were does it say in the bible you are still a sinner after being born again. God labels his people "Righteous". Sinners wont go to heaven.

How do you propose we are to obey the following instruction:
"Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for [/mark] those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them [/avoid them]."

Doesn't the bold part tell us that sometimes it is necessary to "avoid them"?

We are called righteous because of Christ. We become one with Christ and because He is righteous, we are also righteous despite our shortcomings. But we are not to grieve the Holy spirit who dwells in us by continuing in sin, we put an effort to submit our bodies as living sacrifice to God. And as much as we forgive those who trespass against us, God's mercy abides also.

Proverbs 15:29 New International Version (NIV)
29 The Lord is far from the wicked,
but he hears the prayer of the (righteous).

Galatians 3:11
Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The (righteous) shall live by faith.”

When we become born again God views us as righteous. We are no longer sinners anymore, but we are slaves to righteousness. Not slaves to sin. Not self righteous, but righteous in the eyes of God.

In 1 Timothy 1:15, Paul said,

"Trustworthy is the saying, and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am [present indicative active] the foremost." (note he doesn't say "I was"... … and no, Paul was not in doubt of his eternal destiny, nor of his present possession of eternal life and salvation ;) )

Hi Nat ... I did not mean we all are practicing sin ... I believe that all humans get sin from Adam, that is unavoidable, even for people who obey most of the biblical principles ... even so they still are sinners, because they are humans; not only because what they practice, but because what they get from Adam.

Once we are born again we become like Christ. We get a new nature:)

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 New International Version (NIV)
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the (new creation) has come:[a] (The old has gone, the new is here)! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned

Romans 5:14-21
Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come. But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. ...

I am warning you of your divisive behavior once-
Titus 3:10-11 New International Version (NIV)
10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. 11 You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.
EG admitted he thought you were dangerous

Aww.. Poor Gal
I will still appose what you say, Because I think you are dangerous.
When a series of beliefs is a problem you address the beliefs. When it becomes a person, things are personal,
to a scale that does not normally occur in believers discussions. This is victimisation, which is unhealthy and
destructive. Unfortunately once they believe they have a prey individual, they cannot stop the on slaught,
because it becomes like a stalker, desiring a relationship change but in an obsessive way.

Just look at the request for others to participate in the attack
Here you go room
When someone continues to lie about others. Continues to act in a way where she can not even answer the questions of the very passage she is using to defend herself. And continues to be called out for these things this is how they act.
Once again, To all NOSAS people. This person is hurting your belief system, You should do something about this.
Does anyone want to follow such a request, when it is an escalation out of hurt?

God bless you Nat, the Lord is with you, sister.

MIND GOVERNED by the flesh

Romans 8:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 The mind governed by the flesh is (death), but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7

(The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God);

it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

Galatians 5:19-21 New International Version (NIV)
19 (The acts of the flesh) are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

*If we commit the acts of the flesh we will not inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 10:5 New International Version (NIV)
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it (obedient to Christ).

*We need to take our thoughts captive to the obediance of Christ. When a sinful thought comes we cant act on it. We need to pray for deliverance and we have to resist the devil and Obey God.

Romans 6:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

*So a born again believer shouldnt be a (slave) to sin anymore.

Slaves to Righteousness
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

A divisive person is a person who lies and slanders others.

Your warning should be to yourself.

You have NO bearing on me, But you keep it up. Once again, I will share all your slander to the mods..

"Work out" not "work for/to obtain salvation"

This verse should be understood in its context.

Paul (being in prison now) had just finished saying, "And most of the brothers, confident in the Lord by my chains, now dare more greatly to speak the word without fear." Phil1:14

He's exhorting these others to do the same, even "with fear and trembling"... "you don't need my presence!"

Romans 16:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
Avoid Divisive Persons
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the (doctrine which you learned), and avoid them.
Once again

A divisive person LIES about others.

I can prove your lies You can not prove mine.

So take and heed your own warning

I will defend the gospel.. if you think that is being divisive, Then you must think the same about yourself.. Are you not LIEING about others to defend your gospel?

Ie. Are you a do as I say, not as a do person?

PS. Can you answer what NO WORKS means accoridng to James?

Is it 1 work? 10? 100? How many works is no works?

Thank you, God bless you. I am so Glad you found the truth;) and are coming away from error:).

Always remember this when you feel persecuted-

Matthew 5:8-12 New International Version (NIV)
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
