The Lord wants to restore our souls. Our souls consist of three parts - Mind, Emotions and Will.

He wants us to think and know what He thinks and knows. He wants us to feel the emotions that He feels in every situation and He wants us to desire and choose the Father's Will in every choice and decision we make.

I say, "Go ahead, God - restore our souls!"

Here are a couple scriptures to steer us in the right direction:

THE MIND and THE WILL:
Romans 12:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Matthew 26:42 King James Version (KJV)
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

EMOTIONS:

John 11:35 King James Version (KJV)
35 Jesus wept.

Psalm 2:4 King James Version (KJV)
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

2 Corinthians 9:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

John 3:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Proverbs 6:16-19 King James Version (KJV)
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Restoring our souls is a journey and a process. It can and will be done. With God's Word and Spirit, our souls will be restored. We will have the Mind of Christ, feel the same Emotions that God feels, and only desire and choose the Father's Will.

Just keep feasting on God's Word - the Bible and keep drinking in the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 25: 20. Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.

Thank you Sister for this thread. Thank you for reminding me emotions too are a gift when they line up with the will or are used for reproof and guidance when we grieve the spirit. I am so glad you asked. He has been doing mighty things in my life, and in the lives of all of us.

Praise be His name.

He renewed my thoughts today in these beautiful words of thanksgiving.

Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to You, O Lord ; For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, And You comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.” Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the Lord , call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted.” Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

A journey that sometimes seems like a cross country marathon. Everything starts out well then there's a slight hill, a few turns, we're cruising along and what do ya know... another hill. We may fall but it's God's faithfulness that reaches down and pulls us back to our feet. There may be times we want to quit, the thoughts are so intense we can't shake them, then you hear a gentle voice that somehow penetrates through all the screaming lies and whispers "You are mine, I've never left you, Come unto me...and I will give you rest." We look to the left, we check behind, what do we see? Darkness dressed up, enticing us with all we once knew and lived, yet again when we err, God like a Father waiting for his prodigal son's return, is long suffering towards us, gently calling and patiently waiting for us to step back onto the narrow road. It's grace that compels our heart and propels us forward.
Whether we're cruising along, climbing that hill, spiraling downwards, hanging on by a thread or bursting with joy unspeakable, we can rest assured the love we feel in the moments of doubt and struggle as well as in times of elation brings hope and strengthens us to continue along the path. It's the goodness of God that brings restoration to our souls.

Our souls are the communicable connection we have with God who works in us to both will and do His good pleasure .. the soul that sins dies... When we are given a new spirit that could never die we then can commune with Him that has no form as a born again soul.

Christians are soul brothers and sisters .As new creatures we are not to know each other after what the eyes see the temporal. Some did know Jesus after the flesh, that one time demonstration is over. The veil remains rent.

2 Corinthians 5:16Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

God loves our souls and is in the process of restoring them.

God hates our flesh and is in the process of killing it.

Yea, though He slay me yet, will I trust Him! Amen.(y)

Don't think it strange when you're being good and something bad happens to you. Stay the course. Stay with Yeshua/Jesus. He's giving life to our souls while cutting the flesh away. Stay with Him. He's making us beautiful - just like HIM!!!(y)(y)

"God hates our flesh and is in the process of killing it."

We see Jesus deal with the flesh and the devil as one of his first priorities AFTER Holy Ghost baptism.

No anihilation of the flesh, and a clear understanding with the devil equals fleeting and so so victory.
