This verse is so powerful in remembering the One who is able to help produce change, not just within ourselves but within the collective community.

since you are seeking for proof of the Christ who speaks in me, and who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you. For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you.
2 Corinthians 13:3‭-‬4 NASB

We are so blessed Brothers and Sisters. I pray we all remain awe stricken as we consume His truth.

The very power of God is directed towards us...hallelujah!!!

Well hello Scarfin. I hope you are well. thanks so much for asking such a great question. I am honored and hope you will consider what He and I are saying.
I am going to use His words as I talk because it is He that saves. I struggle finding a way to keep it short, so will you please bear with me, reading all the way?

It is a gift from Him. Ours is to believe in the Lord Jesus, and we will be saved.

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
Romans 10:9 NASB

But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts , boast in the Lord .”
1 Corinthians 1:30‭-‬31 NASB

Our sins separate us from God and His will for our lives. But we need help, because wanting to do right isn't possible for us, not on our own. We need His help.

So how do we believe?

And how do we know we believe?

Such good things to ponder.

It is trusting in His cleansing blood that saves, leaning in and on His love and mercy. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

We call on the Lord, repenting fully, with all our hearts and minds that we need Him and His presence in our lives.

Scarfin, He is the truth that sets us free.

We are fully justified in Him.

He works within, ours is to respond to His Holy presence by putting our trust fully in Him.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16

I hope you are still with me here.

He and His words are such precious gifts.

Look at this...

Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16 NASB

O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
Psalms 34:8 NASB

Scarfin, those verses are true,100%. I have come to know Him, in such a way that fills my heart with joy and rejoicing, such peace that surpasses understanding.

While we are "Saved" the moment we first believe, our character takes awile to really know and practice what it means to Love Him and others. I personally struggle forgiving myself, from time to time. He has given me the truth in Luke 7:36-50. I meditate on those verses in seasons when my mind and heart needs renewing.

And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind', This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:37‭-‬40

He is a blessing that keeps on giving. I am moved to tears, thinking about all that He does for us, what He has done. Pleasing Him is such a blessing, such an honor. His work within has made this true.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, says the Lord: I will put M y laws into their minds , A nd I will write them on their hearts . And I will be their God, And they shall be My people .
Hebrews 8:10 NASB

He saves us, forgives us, inspires and empowers us, uses us. He gives us guidance, strength in our weakness, and He gives us family in Him. He gives us His Holy Self!!!

i don't know about you, but I am eternally grateful!!

I have gone on long enough but in closing, I want to share one of my most favorite passages.

I pray you read them and take them in as your own.

The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay. You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Psalms 16:5‭-‬11 NASB

I love you Scarfin, but He loves you so MUCH more.

What does being saved mean
welcome and Blessings!🌞🌞🌞
John3:16 God loved us soooooooooooooo much that He sent to live among sinful man His son to do His will of sharing the news of God's love and give examples of how to also do His will in our lives! When you believe that JESUS is Gods son and are convicted in your heart of the sinful life you live, then it breaks you up to realise how Awesome God's love for YOU is. You then repent, godly sorrow,of your sins and ask Jesus to take up place in your heart and life. We then confess before man our sorrow and acceptance of Jesus into our lives! We must continue to find out more of God and His ways by studying the word and in prayer. It is our communion time with Him

Morning precious Sis, CC's Lam. Good to see you as ALWAYS.

First, thanks for being so kind with me. It is a pleasure being on the receiving end of your graciousness.

Please never apologize for giving God all the Glory. For appealing for the cause of God. We are together in this Kingdom of God.

Besides that, few have the stamina to read my unabridged approach, lolol, so it is good that we can come together and minister in love and mercy, given to us from Him. It is so cool that we all get be used, using our own flavor of communication.

I love you, my oh so thoughtful sister in Him.

Btw, seeing you reminds me that I need to stay the course in our study of Isaiah. Thank you.

Oh wait, lol, one more thing.

Fun fact that I just read.

Did you know...

that if we read a page of the bible every five minutes, we could have it read in approximately 84 hours, 3.5 days or so?

Wow no I did not! I am studying 10 chapters a day. That is fast enough for me and after I get past His anger at Israel I will probably slow to five! The WORD OF GOD IS SO RICH!I love savouring it! Love L.🌞🌞🌞

I think being baptized is important for our walk, He was. It is a physical thing we do to apply our faith, showing ourselves and the flock we do not take our salvation lightly and having been baptized in water and spirit, I am glad that we are given such a privilege. For me, it did feel so refreshing, and I do think it stirs the gift of God.

Are we saved without it, I don't like answering that question, as I do not feel I as a child of His, it is not mine to determine such a thing. I do think it is a very good choice, however. Again, He himself was baptized. Also, He told the disciples to go a baptize ppl in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The baptism that I think, and I admit that I may be wrong, He is most invested in, though, is our spiritial One.

“And while staying with them he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, ‘You heard from me, for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’”

“I baptize you with water; but he who is mightier than I is coming, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”

I would suggest everyone considering this to pray about it as it should not be entered in to lightly.

I find baptism to be an enormous and important action that celebrates and honors Him.

In short, I believe the saved person " "should" get baptized, definitely encouraged to do so. However, I don't think the saved person gets saved or remains saved because of the Holy practice of water baptism.

Lord Father God, please, if anything I said opposes or confuses your will on the matters of water baptism, please forgive me.

Gm Lam, your words are a blessing, sweet encouragement this morning, Sis. Yes, He is worthy to be praised. I work later today, so I rejoice in the provision. Did you sleep well, Sis?

Yay, that is awesome, the refreshment in Him that is. The not a wink is not easy, not for me anyway.

My mama always says that the best part of retirement is not having to work after getting no sleep, lol.
