this means you cant pick 5 laws to follow and ignore 5 others.
what this does not say is the law is abolished
i never said Jesus did not keep the law, im not understanding why you guys keep bringing this up???
They are bringing it up because in their theology we are only ok because Jesus covers us all the time.
If we stand alone before God, we are in the lake of fire, because Jesus could not have washed us clean and
forgiven our sins, so we stand righteous and Holy.

So their objective is to convict us of sin, so we stand alone in Jesus. The walk of sanctification is not the
walk that results in purity as Paul describes

14 Do everything without complaining or arguing,
15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
16 as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.
Phil 2

They cannot see that Paul is working that the disciples will literally walk blamelessly and in purity.
They cannot see this because they do not believe this is the christian walk or Paul would mean this
so any other interpretation must be true. It is like a veil drawn over their minds, and if they were to
see Pauls meaning, then they would have to shift their belief system, which emotionally is impossible.

It is why one has to have a heart of flesh and be prepared to change and be moved to follow Jesus and
hear Him speaking. God bless you.

Gentleness and humility is a fruit of the spirit. If you truly believe what you say is the truth, why is there a need to resort to name calling? As others have stated to you, God don't need us to show such aggression. People have to come to the truth at their own timing, and not yours.

In my opinion, how you treat people over the Internet, whom you are unlikely to ever meet in real life and hence they are unable to benefit nor cost you, is a good indication of how much of those you manifest.
It is heart breaking, to see and hear such strength of feeling, said like a hero fighting a terrible
opponent. But then throwing christians to the lions was greeted with a similar hatred and loathing.

Jesus when beaten was slapped

67 Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him
68 and said, "Prophesy to us, Christ. Who hit you?"
Matt 26

And when you look at the cause of such anger, it is OSAS and conviction of sin.
But guilt and sinful behaviour is worthy of the lake of fire, so this is serious stuff.
And the people of God carry with them this

16 To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
2 Cor 2

If we are the fragrance of death to these folk, I pray that the torment in their hearts might
lead them to repentance and forgiveness of the sin that burdens them so much.
God bless you

The above is written by someone who recently admitted love fulfils the law.

I think however these concepts add up in their hearts, it is not chiming with Jesus.

8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery,Do not murder,Do not steal,Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law
Rom 13

A way of getting round the meaning Paul is saying is replace love with Jesus.
And sadly this is how often what is clear to an open loving heart becomes justification for
a hard heart to stay closed. And the problem for hard hearts, is nothing gets through, and
responses will not change anything, because the whole point is rigidity and boasting.
We have resisted the enemy, turned away the attacks and stand unchanged ......

Some of y'all are to busy reading your own (what you have learned from your particular sect) theology into the text.
How about just reading the text and letting it say what it says. Let is learn from the text instead of instructing the text.
What does it mean to be born of water and of the spirit?
If you say baptized it would not fit the context of the conversation. Nicodemus is is failing to understand "born again" and compares it to natural birth, " can a man return to the womb...?" Then Jesus says you must be born of water and the spirit. Jesus is not jumping subjects to baptism or adding baptism to the conversation. Jesus is not some stoned hippy philosopher saying random nebulous stuff, and he wasn't slipping in something of an act of ritual salvation. Infact he was removing that from the equation. In the American vernacular he would be saying, no Nick, you can't return to the womb, but being born naturally is step one. Step two the Holy spirit must regenerate you.
If he were talking about baptism it wouldn't only be out of context or the conversation, it would be the only time is scripture baptism is being compared to being born. It's called death in Romans so there would be a bit of a contradiction. Is it birth or death, Paul said death in Romans comparing baptism to the death of Christ, and then resurrection which was not being born again. Jesus didn't have to be born again.

John 3:18; John 5:24; John 12:44; John 20:31; 1 John 5:13, all say that one must believe to be saved, but don't mention baptism.

“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). This verse is composed of two basic statements. 1—He who believes and is baptized will be saved. 2—He who does not believe will be condemned.
We don't get to add in and those who believe but aren't baptized yet are condemned. The thing that we can say about the words and are baptized, is that if you believe you will be baptized (barring extraordinary circumstances such as the fella on the cross that day adjacent to Jesus.) And of coarse if you don't believe you won't be baptized ( because why would you be). Baptism is an act of believing.

There are ten commands, (actually more, As paul said in Gal, the command was to obey every word of the whole law. Not just the ten) They are given to PROVE we are sinners, Because if most people are honest. We can not keep the first one, Let alone the other 9. But if we are honest again, we can see how we have failed a few of them also.

Taking the words of moses. This should lead us, as it shows us we have FAILED to keep the law as required. (And also show only one man ever kept the law and that is Christ)

Now we move on, Other parts of the law should help here.

What MUST happen for all sin (be in unknown sin, as someone tried to say they could get away with it much earlier, or known sin, be it murder or a little white lie, be it adultery or failing to honor your parents( is that an innocent animal, who is without defect, perfect, must shed its blood for the person that sinned, This is called the priest making atonement for that sin. At that point, the sin is said to be forgiven, and a clean slate is given until the next sin, Then another sacrifice had to be forgive, Then one time a year, on the day of atonement, the high priest would enter the present of God and make sacrifice for all sin of the nation (known unknown forgotten etc etc) as well as send the “scapegoat” away.

Then of course we have the ceremonial law. Which had a teaching purpose itself. Mostly about Christ..

All these things were given to PREPARE Israel (and us in today) for the time the messiah woudl come, so they would KNOW HIM.

But what happened?

The children of Isreal misinterpreted the law. They thought it is WHAT made them holy. They watered it down to make it APPEAR they have kept it. They ignored to signs and symbols which pointed to Christ, and had no comprehension of what the sacrifices represented. Thus when Chist came, they did not think they needed hin, they did not recognize him, and they rejected him.

Much like these people who are here to PUSH law and say it is how we see and act like God. When that was NEVER its stated purpose.

The law shows Gods righteous demand

CHRIST shows Gods person and love.

The law is NOT Christ, the law LEADS to christ.

I just pray people learns and see this, and come out from the legalism which holds people back, and keeps them from experiencing Gods true love.

And peter I am watching you.

You need to back of your continued slander and twisting what I and many other people say, You have been doing that for years now and we are sick of your little games. (Its why we have you on ignore in the first place. Not because we are scared of you or can not answer you, Your one of the most easiest people here to refute. We just got sick of your games!)

No one replaces love with jesus, what kind of nonsense is this? Where do you come up with this stuff? Is this what you were toaught?

JESUS IS LOVE,

WE LOVE BECAUSE HE LOVED US, Not because we follow the law. People have been trying to follow the law for thousands of years, yet DID NOT HAVE LOVE.

You can not FIND love in the law. You can ONLY find love in CHRIST.

And leastamoungmany (spelling??) how can you LOVE the things he says, that is sad..

This simply means we can't be saved trying to obey the law. What about that?
IMO i dont thnk so, James is teaching not to cherry pick the laws. every man has different temptations, one may never steal anything ever yet always cheating on his wife and vice versa for someone else. James even says in that same teaching:
9But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
partial is being bias.

Thats what scripture says.

I know,You do not like it, Because you like pharisees water down the law to make it appear you keep it.

Thats why you can’t see christ or understand grace, you do not think you need it again, just like the pharisees
what bible are you reading that says Moses is in hell?

IMO this theology is not very wise because it doesnt improve you at all, i mean how could it when all you have to do is sit on the couch all day and proclaim "i believe" and yet do nothing.
this is quite the opposite of how Jesus instructed the 12. He was pretty tough on those guys, always encouraging them to work harder, and never once tells them to stay at home and let Him do all the work. when Peter walked to Jesus on the water and fell, Jesus didnt tell him from now on He would carry him all the time, He told him to have greater faith.
how would you ever pass school when you momma does all your homework?

Show one scripture where “Christ” said being born again baptized by water is not a must to see the kingdom heaven?

Let’s read scripture again:
John 3:3 Iesus answered, and said vnto him, Uerily, verily I say vnto thee, except a man be borne againe, he cannot see the kingdome of God.
John 3:5 Iesus answered, Uerily, verily I say vnto thee, except a man be borne of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdome of God.

Both believing and baptism shall be saved:
Mark 16:16 He that beleeueth and is baptized, shalbe saued, but he that beleeueth not, shall be damned.

Christ said it is done by Water and the spirit.

By water how?
By Baptism as He showed!
Straightway out of the water!
Matthew 3:16 And Iesus, when hee was baptized, went vp straightway out of the water: and loe, the heauens were opened vnto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a doue, and lighting vpon him.

After baptism we recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit! Also called the Comforter
by Christ!

Welcome to cc and Blessings!

Did YOU SAY MOSES,DAVID AND ALL BEFORE CHRIST ARE FOREVER IN HELL? AND THAT'S WHAT THE SCRIPTURE SAYS?
Hi least,

Who is EG? I never knew him. I remember this common phrase I see him repeating,
you do not know what I believe at all. Well I am glad that is the case, because I do not
want to know, I much rather learn from Jesus and follow His ways.

The best fellowship I have ever had is just sharing the love we share in Christ and how
he meets our needs and helps us to overcome our situations day in day out.
God bless you as you follow Jesus and His way, Amen

Poor EG, sense of humour failure.
The problem with continually saying the same things, us less gifted individuals learn
slowly what they mean and start to reflect back the truth, which is always a little
difficult to handle. But what goes around comes around, what you sow you reap,
sow to the Spirit and encouragement, reap encouragement and good things, sow to
conflict and antagonism, reap conflict and dislike. God bless you as you seek to
serve Him more closely, Amen.
