Actually, the word friend means exactly that, friend. You all over-analyzing this simple word my friend.
I guess we will simply disagree, I see you as under analyzing.

Your view of Jesus as a “created” being and less than deity is your prerogative. It is nothing new, however it is unbiblical and will lead to loss of blessings in this life & the next. Also your timeline on Satan is somewhat confused.
I think denying Jesus' Divinity is worse than just losing blessings. I think the denial of Jesus being God means the person is not a saved Christian, although I guess it's possible for a baby Christian to be confused, but if they persist, even after gentle correction from brothers and sisters, I would question if they have been regenerated.

Interesting, he was the only apostle that Jesus personally called His friend, and this was during the betrayal.
I think Sipsey is right brother.

Here we see the use of the word friend again, and what the King demands happen to this "friend". The Greek IS important in breaking down these words.

Matthew 22:11-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, ‘FRIEND, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
By what means do you suppose GOD informed Peter?

Do scriptures also indicate that Moses was ever "incorrect" in some of the passages he wrote?
When God talks to us, He has a way of confirming that it is really Him. I had conversations with with God before I was saved and filled with the HS.

My "Coming to Jesus" blogs detail that. God can do anything He wants. The conversation with Peter was before he had received the HS (see John 20:22). 5thumbsup.gif

Actually, the word friend means exactly that, friend. You all over-analyzing this simple word my friend.
God defines the words. A friend agape (loves at all times). Not depending on the reaction of others .Gods name is Jealous he guard his Love by writing its requirements . If a person is looking for a friend one must first show themselves as friendly .

What a friend we have in Jesus . He alone fulfilled all of loves requirements perfectly . God is Love, not just that he has the capacity but the very source.

1 Corinthians 13 (ERV) I may speak in different languages, whether human or even of angels. But if I don’t have love, I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal. I may have the gift of prophecy, I may understand all secrets and know everything there is to know, and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains. But even with all this, if I don’t have love, I am nothing. I may give away everything I have to help others, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing all this if I don’t have love.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it. 6 Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth. Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits. Love will never end. But all those gifts will come to an end—even the gift of prophecy, the gift of speaking in different kinds of languages, and the gift of knowledge. These will all end because this knowledge and these prophecies we have are not complete. 10 But when perfection comes, the things that are not complete will end.

If written by the will of Moses seen and not God's will unseen. Then none of them would be correct they would be the private interpretation of Moses. Not the interpretation of God, scripture . God moved Moses .He is not served by human hands but moves hands to perform the good pleasure of His will .

God informed Peter by the means of his holy unseen Spirit? That portion you offered is not the ten commandments .the only ones you trust. How much authority will you give Mathew today? Some of the words?

The same verse informs us not revealed by flesh and blood. In other words it was not after the imagination of Peter's fleshly heart as a good guess. The words that Peter spoke were written by the finger of God he put them on Peters lips as he does with all prophets.

The Catholic venerate his flesh and go as far as saying His flesh is the key that the gates of hell could never prevail against. turning upside the source of Christ's faith not after Peter. flesh and blood.

Interestingly our father in heaven always stays one step ahead. And dismisses that idea the Peter holds the key in respect to flesh and blood.

God rather than revealing he removes his hand from Peter and uses it for a occasion to teach us to rightfully divide between the things of men seen, the temporal and the things of God not, seen the eternal .

He forgave Peter . But that is unforgivable today. You cannot deny the very source of faith and say you believe God .It becomes which god ?

Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Mathew16:22-23

Which teaching master will you serve today .The things of God. . the unseen eternal. . . or the things of men seen the temporal? Can't serve two.

So how did man know GOD before scripture? How did he speak to those who wrote scripture. If not through the Holy Spirit?

The Bible inform us that if we deny him by not believing, as believers, like the foolish Galileans he will deny us closeness in fellowship. he must remain faithful to His finished work. . . he cannot deny us. If he began the good work in us he will finish it .He is our confidence that we do have in these earthen bodies of death.

2 Timothy 2:12-14 (KJV) If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

The conversation with Peter denied Christ, in the Son of man, Jesus. Peter was forgiven of his blasphemy against the Son of man (seen ) .When the Son of man left it could no longer be forgiven .If a person denies the one source of faith (not seen) by which they could believe God . . . . then there remains no sacrifice of rest for them just a fear of judgment.... no one to guard their back side.. restless wanderers.

Matthew 12:31-32 “So I tell you, people can be forgiven for every sinful thing they do and for every bad thing they say against God. But anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit (not seen) will not be forgiven. You can even speak against the Son of Man (seen) and be forgiven. But anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven—not now or in the future.
