While you post a few good thoughts, it's as if you then contradict them with stuff that just isn't Biblical.

Just one Scripture to show what I am saying:

1 Peter 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

There are many, many others. As well if you only want to be considered a disciple of Christ based on what other people do, then you do not understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ............. HE is the example, not other Christians.........

We don't have to prove anything to you. You are not our Lord and Savior, nor are you any special person who is deserving of such.......goodness........you been around here for 3 years?

some rants are worthwhile, but, they should never be self-serving
Fine. I'll just go into the dark in my room and let it build up until I self-destruct.

Such lovely people on this site. Really lovely and kind and thoughtful people.

People, you know what I just realized? I don't have to prove anything to you. I don't have to give you any of my precious time. I don't need to waste it on cruel, selfish, complaintful, and awful people like you. You know why? I have been a Christian for 8 years. I'm confident that God gets my grievances. I'm confident that Jesus gets where I'm coming from. He's a better friend and defender than anyone I'll ever meet here. More than that, yes, he is my Lord and Savior. I am very well aware of my flaws though. Pity no one else appears to be, however much they deny it.

I care about people. I easily empathize with others and sometimes it's enough to move me to tears. I'll even try to put myself into the shoes of people who act ugly toward me, because you're people just as much as I am. If only the world was full of such people.

I know that on judgment day, my sins will be revealed, but it's comforting to know that everyone else's will be too. Everyone, not just me, will be shown for who they really are. Try thinking about that for once. God's not going to ask you how many people you "crusaded" against. He's going to ask if you loved people, or at least attempted to love them while acknowledging and owning your flaws.

I'm glad that our salvation is in Jesus, but I'm also glad he still cares about stuff like that.

And I'm sure you're perfect and sinless and never struggle and wrestle and go around making sure everyone knows it.

I'm detecting sarcasm. Tell me if I'm wrong. Do not lie to me.
Umm... Did you not say you wish the world was full of people who think and FEEL just like you do?

You don't see that as incredibly arrogant and condescending?

That is complete BS that video games are the cause of all this.

You know there were public shootings in the US in the 1970s? You know what the shooters were carrying? Fictional books with violent content.

Be consistent and call out other violent media, not just video games.
I was a teen in the 70's and I'm saying that we didn't start getting a lot of mass shootings until the mid-late 90's. That is when those shooter video games were extremely popular. I don't think video games are evil. I used to play them. I'm just telling you from experience. And by the way you have seem to have a rather arrogant attitude. I am sorry I bothered to give you my 2 cents.

At least I make the attempt. At least I don't think I perfectly know someone just based on a few comments. At least I attempt to watch how I'm behaving and then own my stupid behavior and flaws.

Some people have nowhere else to vent but online. A fourth of people my age have no close friends, including me. And it's not from lack of trying. I've reached out and tried to be friendly for years, and I got tired of people neither noticing nor caring.

I think mass shottings in the US started happening more and more since violent video games got popular in the mid to late 90's. There were a lot of popular first-person shooter games where you just run around shooting stuff, and there still are some like Fortnite.
I think you are correct.......Don't know that they are the ONLY reason for the sudden explosion, but one would have to be a fool to not know that they have served to desensitize our children/young adults/and even older adults who grew up playing them.

The "gun" is not to blame for these murders.......that is true. If every gun in the Country were to suddenly disappear, folks would just find another way to kill someone..........BUT....... semi automatic weapons that can be modified to fully automatic and the xtra large clips that are being sold DO make it possible for evil people to murder many, many more innocent people in a much shorter time.

Not too many instances of a knife wielding kid going into a school and killing 20 or so Students, Teachers, and others........or those wielding rocks/bats/or pretty much any other device that could be used to kill someone.

That is why the NRA and all supporters of the 2nd Amendment NEED to realize that the time has come to sit down and reach some common sense solutions to the problem. OR just KILL 'EM ALL AND LET GOD SORT 'EM OUT.......
