I am currently trying to learn that my time as a single woman is time to be spent seeking the Lord. Without Him being the center of my life, it is next to impossible to have a healthy relationship with a man. With that being said it is still so difficult doing all of this alone. Praying for God to fill the void in everyone's life including mine until the right person comes along, the one truly sent by God.
Blessings and love to all!

I pray that this happens for you too. I met my wife on this site who is also a member. You just never know who you are going to meet. You are quite correct about God being in the center of your life and also extremely important that God is placed in the center of any relationship, especially romantic intimate ones. I am praying for God to search and find a loving and faithful man of your heart's desire. This may happen sooner rather than later so please be ready. Glad to have you as part of our family. Welcome to CC.

This is a good word!! This is currently what God is teaching me - for me to see myself as He sees me. By finding my worth I will no longer settle for those that are not equally yoked. Your word was confirmation for me.

If and when you get married, there will probably be a day when you wish you were single again.

You will lose your freedom when you get married.

That lines up with a short daily devotional that I just completed!!

Yeah, misery likes company.

There is one manager at w*rk who has been married/divorced three times, and is constantly cycling through and complaining about her boyfriends. She is also frequently arguing with me about my alleged need to find a woman. My best theory about her insistence is that misery loves company - she gets upset that I am happy being single, and wants me to find a woman so I can be miserable like her.

Of course it's only a theory, but observable evidence does appear to quite strongly support it.

I agree misery loves company - this is why I refuse to entertain anything outside of God. I have been on two dates in the last year and if anything doesn’t feel right I shut it down right then.
I have learned it is better to be alone than to settle for the sake of loneliness.
When the time is right and the person is right God will show me. Until then, I am not searching for anyone. God is well able to place who he wants in my life without my assistance. 😊

It's a plausible theory though.

If you really think about it...

being single is probably the next best thing to being not single.

Being single is a good thing.

Being married to a godly spouse is a good thing too.

Jesus gives us freedom and abundant life, whether we are single or married. :)

This is TRUTH! God is well able! The Lord is faithful and will provide for us according to His perfect will. You desire a man who walks righteously, that is according to God’s perfect will. He will give you the desires of your heart. He won’t withhold anything from His children who wait on Him. I pray sister that you continue to rest in God’s great love for you. He can do more than we can ever ask or think - and He’s not slow to His promises.

Blessings to you in Jesus Christ!
