I worry about everything. I worry if I should post this right now. When I’m praying should I be kneeling or standing? Should I pray after praying with mom? Did I pray long enough? I should have praised more, shouldn’t I have? Should I even be on my phone right now? I know I’m using it too much, am I being worldly? I bet I’m being worldly. Jesus forgive me for being worldly.

And so forth and so on. I know part of it is my OCD and I can’t change that. But I pray that God will somehow give me the ability to give Him the worry that seems to be built into my core of being.

Sweetie, God doesn't care whether you kneel, stand, or are laying in bed when you pray. :) A prayer can be 5 seconds long, or it can be an hour long..

Steph, we pray with you to be able to surrender things to the Lord. Yes, He commanded us not to worry, what we will eat or drink, if we sit or stand in prayer. May God grant you to think whatever is true, whatever is noble, right and good... and that comes with staying in His words, esp reading the Bible. There are other ways, as listening to its reading, or listening to recorded teachings and songs to the Lord, but as you develop and stay with the habit of reading His Word daily and as priority, you do not want to miss a day of that!

You can't change the ocd, you say, but God can. Oh yes, He can! Trust in Him with all your heart. And the change may take one day at a time, so you got to give it to Him and not be overwhelmed when u fail one day. Just keep on surrendering to Him. God bless you, sis.

Hello, ArtsieSteph. Prayer is your lifeline, your relationship with God and your way of pouring out your heart to Him. Don’t worry about things and just pray sincerely to your loving Heavenly Father. I’m praying that God will reveal Himself to you in a special way, fill your heart with His strength and peace as you look to Him.
