6 times as many murders per capita in the US as the EU.
It is an oversimplification to state that it is because of gun control laws in EU that there is less gun violence than in the USA

Well, I only read one of your arguments. It seemed a bit vitriolic. I'm open to having my mind changed.

What is your position on gun control?

I know you're not speaking to me but I just want to give an example to prove a little point. I live in small town USA. They roll up the streets at 8pm. We have a Christian school in the middle of town that says basically "We are armed and ready to protect our students." We have three or four other schools in town. Which school do you think a shooter is going to go to? I'm glad you asked. Last year a young guy was found armed to the teeth, stopped in his driveway by police who were tipped off. Which school was he headed to? The unarmed high school on the other side of town. As I said before America doesn't have a gun issue, it has a God issue. We have turned from God and we are paying the price for it. 26 out of 27 mass shooters have no father in the family. The only answer to this evil is Jesus, period.

They're killing the kids in our school, something's wrong

The man on the news is confused, something's wrong

The talking heads will argue

The philosophers will yack

And then the politicians take our questions, but give nothing back

Because the answer is not turning your leaf,The answer is not some new world belief

The answer is easy for those who are serious

Answer is... Jesus Period

Profanity reigns in the minds of our young, something's wrong

We've got babies having babies, their conscious is numb, something's wrong

We've got suicides and homicides, and 1-900 lines

And then we find our pills and drugs and pills, and can't get satisfied

Because the answer is not turning your leaf,The answer is not some new world belief

The answer is easy for those who are serious

Answer is... Jesus Period

If you're searching for solutions to define the

Right and wrong

You better sneak a look into the book

That's been here all along

This whole post is a complete, insulting joke!

You flat out LOSE WW2 and maybe even WW1 without America. The British lose in Africa without the US. There is NO Normandy invasion without the US. Britain eventually capitulates and is taken over by the Nazis without the US. Germany is able to devote massive resources to the eastern front, not to mention America kept the Brits and Russians afloat with supplies and munitions, Germany achieves the A-Bomb, the Americans wouldn't have even been working on it had they not entered the war. Germany has the capability to put A-bombs on V2 rockets, AND THAT'S BALLGAME!

What the hell revisionist history are they teaching you over there? Not to mention, where do you think you'd be TODAY without the US protecting your butt for the past 75yrs?

You owe your very existence as a nation to America. Start acting like it!
No.

Do something, sitting there eating Big Macs and fries while your being entertained in a mega church solves nothing. Call these evil politicians and people out. In these days of social media its pretty easy to do it. Sin is sin , laziness is laziness. If I can do it, anyone can. For example not going to the local coffee shop that is owned by two gay men. Satan loves it when you people turn over and let him carry on with his wickedness. Reflect Gods glory and help him to Victory, stop them. Ughh

umm, I believe Ford was supplying vehicles to both Germany and USA during ww2, IBM was helping Germany as well as the allies, and there were many more that I cant remember right now. And don't forget Lend lease. And you might want to look up the Rothchilds to see how much they were involved in both world wars. Its not as cut and dried as you think

I challenge those who say "Oh it's because God is being taken out of our schools!"

Europe has taken God out of their schools, and they don't have these mass shootings. And my God is apparently an egotist if he's more concerned about whether or not people in a democratic country pray to him at school every day than about real issues that concern all people created in his image.

Furthermore, I challenge those who don't want any regulation and don't want anything to change.

Please, tell us all, what ideas do YOU have? You haven't been giving us any, only blasting us for ours and telling us how stupid we are. Please, enlighten us. Otherwise, I'm going to assume you just want guns to be a free for all.

So American companies supplied both parties in the war? This does not make America good.

And it still has nothing to do with the debate on gun control.

That could be part of the puzzle. There seems to be mental issues and prescribed drugs involved in many of these cases. I think I mention above the stat of no fathers in the home. I think young men today are like a ship without a rudder. They are told they are "toxic" for acting like a male. Many have no father in their lives to show them how to be a man. I think social media also has a big impact. Also if family life is unstable it's easier for these kids to fall into the cracks. Murderers are not born. We need to look into these issues and see why young men are falling into this.

Europe has taken God out of their schools, and they don't have these mass shootings. And my God is apparently an egotist if he's more concerned about whether or not people in a democratic country pray to him at school every day than about real issues that concern all people created in his image.

Well this is a republic... And I think God is concerned about both. Because that's where the family is being attacked. At least one level. Marriages are being attacked, children are being attacked, the devil gets in where ever he can. Taking God out schools was definitely the beginning of the issues.

And here is the issue. We want to over simplify this. When I moved to the US I felt the same way because I'm from Canada. But the longer I live here the more I understand the issue is not so simple as get rid of guns. Because only honest people are going to take part in a gun buy back deal. Only honest people will give up their guns. Background checks may help, but didn't one of the recent shooters have his friend lie and get guns from him? A criminal who wants to kill people will find a way. Whether a pressure cooker, a knife, a vehicle, a gun. Evil people hell bent are going to find a way. We can try and limit them. But with most of these laws all you're doing is preventing a good guy with a gun from protecting his family from a bad guy with a gun. We already have laws on the books. We ALL want a solution. Not ONE person wants to see these mass shootings, not ONE of us. But the focus has to be getting the hands out of the bad guys hands. And that is next to impossible. We need to start taking an honest look into what is happening in this country. People have owned guns for years, and it's just recently that mass shootings have been a thing. What has changed? We need to find out.

Christians, I refuse to be called one myself until YOU get your act together. WE are NOT God's favorites, we are not his "chosen" people, the world does not revolve around America and it certainly does not revolve around US! I am ashamed of and disappointed in you. Prove yourself WORTHY of my trust, and maybe I'll associate with you again. Prove to me that you are pro-life not just because you're against abortion. Prove to me that you care when a pedophile takes a child's innocence. The burden of proof is on YOU!
I gotta point this out... you sound like a kid having a temper tantrum. You refuse to be called a Christian? I'm sure Jesus would be happy to hear that.... something about 'he who denies me to the world, I will deny to the Father'.... YOU are not responsible for other Christians' actions, and to live your life being swayed like a tree in the wind because "other Christians" don't live up to the standard YOU think they should, is, well, childish and largely self-centered.

I think that you need to re-think your position...

Alright, I get it. I screwed up. As if I wasn't told that a dozen times already.

Then apparently we shouldn't have laws at all because, "People will always find a way around them."

I don't know you at all, other than what I've read and inferred from your comments, but it sounds to me as if you have something of an inferiority complex, which you mask by coming across as better/more "Christian"/more aware than everyone else.
People do not react well to that, and respond to you in rather abrupt ways. This hurts you, causing you to complain about everyone treating you badly.. a typical persecution complex.

Why not just listen at least twice as much as you talk, and then politely add your comments or questions, and accept the responses with humility and grace, in the manner they are offered?

Believe me, most people on here want to engage in stimulating conversations, and do NOT want to bicker, argue, and accuse/be accused... you might actually meet some really nice online friends...

It would be a good place to start, anyway....

blessings to you...

Europe and the United States of America are not comparable on many different levels.

Comparisons would be very limited if any.

Regardless, if you’re gonna make this type of criticism, be consistent. The Asian country of Japan has a very small Christian population yet one of the lowest violent crime rates in the world.

I have been to Japan and very familiar with their society there are historical reasons for this and as a history princess you should know this.

I'll just throw this out here. I've been told to "let God be God" when going down thought trails like this.

We aren't called to be like God (the father). We are called to be like Christ. Look at his life and emulate from there...I am offering the same advice that I have to take large heapings of myself.

We can "talk" big. However if we don't have the power to change any of these things an argument could be made that it is not our commission to involve ourselves in divine politics.

As human beings we have a tendency to exalt ourselves larger than we are. Like we can see the how something could work but do we "really" know it will work? Do we really think we know more than the Lord does?

Why doesn't he change that? Why doesn't he change this? This could work! I know it will! Maybe so...but most of these issues do not impact salvation at all really (except our personal response to them) so should the "simulations" thereof should be avoided.

Even focusing on "Global" solutions is error. How could one person that is not the Lord make executive judgments that affect 7 billion people and think that they "know"? Tis absurd.

Some of us can certainly see more than others that is true, but our sight is still quite limited. Those that can see more fall into traps of "over extending" their sight and fall into the error of pragmatic humanistic solutions.

This isn't specifically at you btw...just in general it is something I've seen in my own life.

You could start small with local politics. Almost anyone with a speaking ability and a grasp of ecumenicism can have a modest (and possibly large effect if that were his design) by being apart of resource management, policy implementation, and creative output.

I think one of the biggest issues of focusing on the "larger whole" is hey guess what? Other people have a say also, you cannot discount what the word says about the enemy's power on this earth and that wickedness will abound. Our business should not be primarily focused on global issues but as a sub focus sure (thus local encouragement).

Anyway, think small, start small. When you think big it is highly unlikely that you will ever "start big". We must always be faithful in a little first. I've personally protested against the Lord. Not outright rebellion...but imagine capitol hill (with the court of heaven) holding up my picket sign. It's about as effective. There is a method and there is a process.

I would also encourage you to read Genesis 15:16 (about the sin of the Amorites being not yet at its fullness) and the corresponding verses. THAT is most helpful in understanding the delay in summary judgment and immediate executive action (which did occur in other places but typically individually). You have to give people time. We are more impatient than he is...I know how it goes :p

Oh...rereading through my post I thought of Babylon's sins being piled as high as heaven in correlation with Genesis 15:16 and that it is not yet complete. Something to ponder/prayerfully consider.
