Well there's no putting the Genie back in the bottle.

You cannot legislate righteousness but you can disciple folks to act righteously. Convert the heart to Jesus and God will bless the nation.

For the cause of Christ

You’re quite entertaining when you don’t want to admit you’ve got it all wrong😁.

Well I'm glad I at least entertain you! The point is to educate you however.

You are letting your pride show. You have been corrected by several here that your use of the term gerrymander has no application for Presidential elections. You can also hold your breath and stomp your feet all day long about your accusation that President Trump has oppressed the American people. He hasn't, and you know it.

Best if you just kinda slink away from those areas, rather than dig a deeper hole.;)

Post Civil War southern states used (among other things) literacy tests as a requirement for voting in order to disenfranchise black voters.
Very true. LBJ and his version of the civil rights act. (One of his few good .) Was one of the first acts that passed enforcing equal rights since Lincoln.

I think you mean 1865. ;)
Nope. Voting Rights Act of 1965. Even poll taxes (another method of discouraging blacks and poor whites from voting) weren't abolished in Federal elections until the 24th Amendment was ratified in 1964 and a Supreme Court decision in 1966 abolished state poll taxes.

Oh yes an astute political move from a segregationist.

The problem is that you don’t see the broader picture. You establish some homegrown logic and you’re then presenting that as proof of what you say is right😁.

I’m still not gonna vote for Trump😛.

I'll admit my political opinions are heavily swayed by 3 end times conspiracy theories.
1) There will be a resurrection of the Roman empire under the guise of the EU and the Vatican Bank and Freemasons will pool resources. The leader of the EU will become the Antichrist and The Pope will become possessed by the Devil and thus become the beast.

2) An unholy cabal of Satanic Jewish mystics and bankers will take over Jerusalem and the Beast will ascend to the throne. And that the USA being in debt to them will become their 'ad hoc' servants and a President will become the Antichrist.

3) After the United States is destroyed and only a remnant of Christian Jews remain in Israel. The eastern former Communists will go to war against OPEC supposing the war is about oil but it's really a false flag so the Devil can destroy all oppositions until the Lord returns to finish them all off. There will be no Christians left alive by then except the remnant that flees.

So which side is right. I only follow the Lord. Let the watchtowers fall as they may. All nations will be destroyed when the Lord returns. The end, of the beginning that is.

You are right. Interesting that it was Democrats who started the literacy tests, and most of the southern states voted Democrat for a century after the Civil war.

Revisionist history is going on in spades.

Absolutely true Grace. But their were more black and or Latino votes to gain than Dixiecrat votes to lose. He wasn't loyal to either side. It was all about him, oil and money including the military industrial complex's war for profit.

The Sothern Democrats felt alienated and took the 'Enemy of my enemy is my friend' mentality and the Republicans went after them to support Nixon. Even the KKK switched sides. That's why the Klan, the Nazis & Skinheads are pro Republican now.

Yes the Democrats were the conservatives and the Republicans were the liberals then.

First off, ALL "Fact Checker" organizations can skew results in a variety of ways, but be that as it may, Most of the "stalled" designations are because we don't have a dictator, unlike in Socialists countries like Cuba and Venezuela. So they are stalled because of the OTHER branches of government.
This is getting boring and redundant. Have at it people. I'm going to unwatch this thread. Peace out.

First off Bob, the groups you list are such a miniscule number, their only value is for democrats to designate as Republicans, although most, are much closer to either authoritarians, (the left) or anarchists.

It's kinda like how Atheists and others try and make the beliefs and actions of the Westboro Baptist Church fit ALL Christians. It's not accurate, nor fair, and should not be tolerated.

PennEd this is rather amusing, I did not take something stalled, necessarily as a negative

Are you loyal to Trump or is it the party?

Looks like someone is loyal to the Chosen one, rather than the party.

Gotta admit, though, I’d vote Republican straight ticket if they had a decent candidate.

(Just waiting for Penned to tell me I’m all wrong about something😛😁😛😁).

I am loyal to neither. Was disgusted with much of the Bush's Presidencies. But remember the rule. A republican, even a spineless, feckless one, is ALWAYS better than ANY of today's Democrats simply by virtue of the platform.

Trump has been nothing short of spectacular in terms of achievements, and absolutely exposing the fact that the media is nothing more than a propaganda machine for the DNC. Other GOP presidents, with the exception of Reagan, would have long ago folded under the ruthless, baseless attacks of the Dems and the media.
