The worker is often taken for granted. And today in America we celebrate the contributions the worker sacrifices in order to live and promote the well being of society. We are the gears in the clock of society.

Giving countless hours, stress, sweat, and exhaustion. But the worker pushes through. Through the pains and missed memories of family the worker is needed. Slowly the worker's body breaks down, wears out and leaves the worker hurting. But they push through. The worker deserves just as much respect as anyone else.

I admire anyone that hold down a job and does their best regardless of the type of job.

I admire anyone with enough get up and go to get up and RETIRE...…….no sense being all OCD about work and such......

If not more so. Had all employers seen the value of their hard-working employees, they would have willingly shared their profits and rewarded them properly.

Then the need for labor unions would not have come about. And the unions exploit their members even more than the employers. The union bosses do not care about their members, only about enriching themselves.

On Labor Day employers should be publicly praising their most valuable employees. That should be the real purpose of setting aside a day for those who labor.
