So tell me

What should i do, look to the law for guidance, or look to christ, who loved me and because of that love, empowered me to love others, and by nature of loving others, i will by nature not break commands when i am in an act of loving?

And when i fail to love and put self first (sin) do i need the law to tell me what i should already know? That i put self first, and this sin led me to break other commands, if i focus on just the commands, will i not miss the root of sin whcih caused me to break them in the first place? And thus be in danger of never finding victory? Or thinking i have when i have not? [/QUOTE

WE SHOULD DO THEM BOTH. One should not negate the other. LETS love God more than He is asking us to. Lets teach everyone that is the best way. Symbiotic relationships are the best. If Israel would have followed with faith, love it would have worked. So God gets rid of the old law and gives us faith and love. So what are WE doing now? Getting rid of the law.

What I would love to start hearing is "what we were lacking we have been given". Let us give it all to God, all at the same time. Let us learn and love His holiness and His love for us. Lets not be like the old only giving what may be required, let us go beyond what is asked and teach this is the way

I am not talking about going back to the law of Moses to "do them" but to teach them, yes. They have very important information for us. And none of the scary applies to us. I stop

Its post 6712. So meaningless to you that you forgot it already.
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

You need to reread it, i was not apologizing, i was in effect, mocking.

But thanks for showing how once again, for some reason, you can not comprehend much of what i say,

Correct. So Abram was not Saved. Our friend says he was. I'm calling him out.
In a sense he was though. God gave him the credit of righteousness. It`s just the bill hadn`t been paid yet.

The righteousness of Christ saves us and it also saves Abraham.

You cant do both

If your focusing on the law your focusing on performance, what must i do, and not on he spirit, who do i need to love

This is a message i believe paul trued to tell jews,

God said focus on love, and you will not break

He does not say focus on law, and you will love.

Once again, you have an odd perspective

I mean how can god declaring us righteous based on NOTHING we do, have anything to do with works,

Good day sir,
Being declared righteous has to do with works, but works do not save. However, Abraham's faith would save him.

Just try not to be so critical of others please, you are not always right. :)

Ok, good one. You got me. It`s challenging because you are Unbiblical and worldly.

When are you gonna discuss the word and stop accusing people ,and judging them. Do you have anything to add, or just want to mock?

[yes i admitted to mocking you once, i wanted to show you some of your own mededine.to see if you would react)

Abraham was saved by faith and not by works.

The same as all the Old Testament patriarchs.

Perhaps you would like to apologise?

I`m actually thining about shaking the dust off my shoes and seeing if this site has a decent ignore setting. I don`t see much benefit in sharing things with you.

Same here. You can put people on ignore which means you cannot read their posts, but they can still read your posts. I would rather it worked both ways.
I'm taking the dog for a walk and get a bit of fresh air.

If Moses and Elijah were unforgiven how did they appear with Christ transfigured?
Good works cover a multitude of sins. And they had faith. And loved God even when they weren't told they should. And God can do what ever He wants and He doesn't have to explain it to us.
Yeah how? HS shows them through convicting them how? Because gods moral code is written in our dna, we know what is wrong and right, we chose to deny it, thats why we have no excuse
But how do they know whos spirit it is? If not hearing the Word how do they come to faith?
Do you believe anyone is saved at this present time?
Yes, but they are in heaven, either with the rich man or lazarus
Commiting adulty is sin, we should not break that command, my point is, how do we follow this law? By following the letter, or by some other means?
We follow this law by not allowing ourselves to go past the point of appreciating Gods handiwork, we don't let ourselves engage if the flesh starts leading the spirit, and our minds bring up the law that says don't, so we turn and walk away and don't engage on any level.

Saved isn`t part of the equation until the Savior came.
Correct. So Abram was not Saved. Our friend says he was. I'm calling him out.

Where did Enoch go then?
Where was Elijah taken up to?

You're saying they were not saved, so what happened to them when they were removed from this earthly realm never having tasted death?
They were lost, yet found in heaven?

Was the thief on the cross saved by works?
Can you give a true response without going Into left field?
Matthew 23:15

15Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

You could also try just logging off, making a new user name and coming straight back to this thread pretending as tho you are someone new, and start a whole new bitter fued within just a day or two with people you've purportedly never met before.
I think that happens more often than we know.

((joking, that would be dishonest))

The discussion was about works and righteous. The point I was trying to make is that Abram was not saved by works, even though God considered him righteous because of his obedience, but it was his faith that saved him the same as the other patriarchs.

I think doing something like that would be more your speed. You seem to be implying that I started a fued? Only thing I did was argue that the Law isn`t a bad thing and speak against hostility and disrespect towards it.
