So you would not conflate the meaning of equate? ;)

Mellifluous:

Sweet or pleasant to hear. (of voice or words)

In Latin, mel means "honey" and fluere means "to flow." Those two linguistic components flow smoothly together in mellifluus (from Late Latin) and mellyfluous (from Middle English), the ancestors of mellifluous. The adjective these days typically applies to sound, as it has for centuries.

Apparently it can also be applied to tastes...albeit rarely.

I presume melody is related. Mellifluous melody :D

'antiphonal' (hint-from Isa 6:3)
a liturgical term...
a verse, song, or hymn sung in response. Possibly chanted.

I suppose I can see how that applies to scripture. I just didn't ever really read that as a chant. Just a response to what is...but thinking more on it makes some sense, how it could be viewed that way.

We used to have a sermon ending psalm and a response in the church I went to for about 8 years.

Gaslighting
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person seeks to sow seeds of doubt in a targeted individual or in members of a targeted group, making them question their own memory, perception, and sanity. Also, this term has been all over the news lately, but it dates back to a 1938 play called 'Gas Light' and later the movie 'Gaslight' where this form of manipulation is acted out between a husband and wife.

To jumble or confuse...dating from the 1690s.

Hard to find. Kudos. Was difficult to tell the context of the word though, bamboozle has a negative connotation but "in theory" could be used neutrally. May have to use that word some day lol.
