Yet I answered your question. So not sure where this is coming from.

A denomination is a particular type of church, The bible does not talk about denomination, It spoke of a church or body of believers in a particular city (like the church at Rome, or the church at Corinth, or the church at Ephesus)

The only difference today is that church in each city meet in different places in different denominations. Yet just like in those days, there were false churches (gatherings) also. who proclaimed christ, only today, those groups also are composed of different denominations

remember, the term church means a gathering, or a group of people who gather together in an assembly. Sadly today, people here it and think they mean a church building which is a building where a particular denomination meets.

John said that people who claimed to believe in Chrit but now no longer believe in christ have never been saved (in his words, they were never OF US, for if they WERE OF US they never would have departed ,they departed to PROVE they were never of us)

ie. they went to church and were considered part of the church, but now have fallen away, because they NO LONGER BELIEVE IN CHRIST, yet they never had faith in christ, because if they did, they never would have fallen away.

I never said it was a doctrinal issue, so not sure why you would think I have..
You didn`t answer my question in a way that tells me the information I wanted to know about you. Deja Vu.

You said the number of chuches teaching what you think is the "true gospel" getting smaller and smaller. That`s doctrine. Maybe you forget you said that.

As to denomination in the Bible. Circumcision, Uncircumcision. The two groups would be considered denominations as we look at them today.

Then you were not specific in your question.

are you asking me which denomination I think is the true church?

No. Thats the GOSPEL

Its about who is leading people to heaven, vs who is leading people through hell via a false gospel

Doctrine is things like end times belief, How old the earth is, Should we do this or that.

As to denomination in the Bible. Circumcision, Uncircumcision. The two groups would be considered denominations as we look at them today.

It goes deeper than this,

different denominations can teach circumcision, while others hold to the opposing view.

Are you hijacking the thread/Original Post?
Not at all. Just got sidetracked by his unwillingness to identify what churches meet his approval.

My remark if you read it, was the falling away in 2 Thesalonians 2. Which in the Bible always means apostasy, abandonment of belief.
One of the reasons some Christians will go to hell. Apparantly something in the future will cause many Christians to stop believing.

And you continue to lie.

You said what do I consider the true church, Not what CHURCHES meet my approval.

Which I could never answer because I do not know what each church believes.

And I responded to this with Johns first epistle and chapter 2. which shows that NO TRUE christian can fall away to the point they deny Christ or do not believe in Jesus. and that people who CLAIM to be christian and are NOW unbelievers were NEVER OF US.

which of course, you never responded to.

You just want to continue to say I never answered you, Which I did.

Ok, now I`m starting to think you are one of the unchurched. Were you one of the church skippers I saw in here Sunday morning? There were so many I can`t remember now.

You just been exposed as the lier you are.

Out of curiosity, what do you consider the "true church" to be?

These are NOT the same question. If you would have asked the second question first. I would have given you a different answer

It`s against the rules to call somebody a liar. Do as you say and not as you do. I recall you yeasterday threatening to go to a moderator because you misunderstand what I said about chastisement :sneaky:

once again, You never want to discuss scripture. You just want to try to attack people.

You asked one question, then said I did not answer you, then when confronted, You stated you asked a different question

This is called bearing false witness, Which is according to the law a sin. (it is also called a lie)

as for the other accusation, Can you remind us what you are talking about by requoting the post? Because I do not remember this.

I clarified for you. Post #377. I just wanted to know what kind of churches you like. No big deal if you want to keep yourself in the closet.

I only go to one church, so not sure what you asking IN THIS QUESTION.

I would have to know what other types of churches there are.

I grew up baptist, but there are so many different types. (which I have attended) I liked some of them, and did not really like others

I guess if I had to put it in stone, One who preaches the WORD (ie, teaches it is order, like start a book and go through it) as apposed to 20 minute sermons so many do.

They focus on body life, And discipleship ie church is not a building, it is a group. and they are involved in the group often, not just on Sundays or Sundays and Thursdays,

They break bread often (not communion, but they eat together)

They have a committed prayer ministry, where corporate, as well as personal prayer is encouraged and taught and lived out

they are focused on helping people grow, more than judging people and tearing them down (yes I have been to those churches also)

to be honest, I do not think there is a perfect church.. I love mine ( a non denominational) but I do not agree with everything it does, or even all its doctrines.

is this more of what you were looking for?

See? That`s what I mean. Terrible thing to ask somebody who is serious about God.
Did god continually attack and belittle other people like you do?

and what makes you think I am not serious about God? because I do not believe as you believe?
