Whatever dude

It is obvious you have no desire to discuss anything (this was not about my believe system this is what the OT said about Israel and what would happen to them)

Its all about you.. (we know that because you could not even discuss the scripture i used to prove what i was saying, and you have no counterpoint,

Well good luck with that and good day sir, i stop playing kids games along time ago, i have no desire to play those games anymore
I can refute all your errors easily enough but I don`t think it would do any good so not going to take the time.

If we are wed to the written Law we are held in a cell unable to live for Christ and produce frtit for Him. Unable to be His Bride. Please direct me to that which makes this null and void? That shows me Christ will commit spiritual adultery by wedding someone married to the Law?

Is there now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus? What must be missing for there to be no condemnation?

I appreciate your desire to live for the Lord

Thanks
You are absolutely correct. Those who work at the law are unable to be His Bride.

There is, now, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

What must be missing in order for there to be no condemnation is working at the law in your own strength and by your own understanding.

I misspoke, I think, in my earlier post. I said the Beatitudes are the Magnification of the Law. But really, they are the result of the Lord Magnifying the Law and us realizing we need to come to the Lord Jesus and receive rest.

I must agree. It is, as if the second the law is mentioned, (notice I didn't say they, and I will work on that), not to be saved,(ok that was just a funny) the automatic assumption is there had been no Grace given, there has been no saving, there is no walking in the Love of God. Yet, when someone is asked about the beginning of their walk with God, being saved, almost always comes first.

Yes, I agree with Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength this is the first commandment.
I think "the definition" of what this means is the problem. For me, doing this with all my heart and soul, and MIND lead me deep into all the words in the Word of God. The study, not just to show myself approved, but the falling in love with the entire Word. Every single word important. Every single law "Israel" was subject to at one time, holds truth and wisdom and knowledge of God. It is for my education. I know the law of Moses is no longer in force and we are under Grace. I read that letter that God wrote to me and the only thing that happens is 3 weeks have gone by and I have done nothing but read and ponder and pray to God and research and pray and many times the moment I thank God for a truth I have received, God takes all that wisdom that has come in here a little there a little in my studies and He opens up my eyes and ears to a new one. Now those moments (or hours, who knows) are a trip. It is His world, His ways, not this one, that become more important and clearer. And I sometimes feel I have no one to talk to because no one else seems to be as OCD as I am.
As I have said before one of the biggest blessings I ever received was when I went from "loving God" and that "personal" relationship I thought I had with Him, to "loving His letter and the wisdom and knowledge in it" that He stuck in my hands and said, "So you think you know me"? (No, not to my flesh ears). And immediately His Word let me know what I thought and what I felt without the words from that letter, was just me doing it my way, not His. I was Cain. I wasn't Able. I wasn't able to know anything about the "truth" of God by my own thoughts and feelings, And I was and have been an OCD captive ever since.
So is it "pre salvation"? No, not for me. If it was I would tell you it was. I think anything that closes or restricts or shuts off ways to Christ, is not good. Lets say someone is searching. And they are told to "have faith believe and walk in love" but they are not feeling it. Do you think them hearing "then you are not saved" leads them to Christ? What if it is God sending them to the OT laws for understanding that they need. Who are we to say "that's wrong" you can't do that or you are not saved. The love of God only comes in this order or this way only. What if they just completely walk away after that. They never get into the Word, never hear the Word, never get the Faith that comes from hearing it. I know and understand where this all comes from now. I didn't have a clue a couple months ago. I do understand that "need" to be sure no matter what, but I just cant find that in the Word. God tells us there is a door that will shut. A day that will be too late. And if you deny Him, you will be denied. We have a duty to God. We have to follow all His ways. We don't get to pick and choose the ones that work for us. Sometimes it takes sacrifice on our part. But there is a spiritual war raging right now. And you know who the prince of the power of the air is. We are warned by God to learn from the mistakes of others. OK I am done. Just felt lead by the spirit.
Yet the law was given for pre-salvation. Pre Christ

Yes you can read it to know more about god, (i love to read it from time to time,) but using it as a guide to help you walk with God, that is a fruitless endeavor, because it was not made for that purpose

Still no answers to be found for the questions asked in posts 8215 & 8238. 🦗 🦗 🦗
Hi Lightskin,

You you might already know about this, but there is a way to get a link to a specific post. I wanted to talk about this because I think the two posts you mention deserve more follow up.

When you're at the actual post, right click on its number, for example 8215. (Or in my case, if you're on a phone, long press instead of right click.)

Then some options should appear, one of them should be
Copy link address

then you can just paste it into your message body.

Here's what the result looks like

Sorry, Could you give me a verse that says we rest from the commandments given in the new testament?
Sorry

But are you still under the schoolmaster?

If your no longer under the schoolmaster, your work at trying to fulfill the commands to receive blessing from god is completed. Because you have stopped trying and repented and came to receive his grace

Yer right! I have NO faith AT ALL in YOUR jesus!
I find YOUR jesus, to be an abomination!
To ALL that is called God, and is Holy!

I find it curious we should agree on something!

Don't you?
That is what the people who practice Judaism truly think.

It comes out sooner or later.

What was the reason the Jews crucified the Lord Jesus?

Because they hated what He was and What He represented. Pretty much the same as you.

C'mon you guys are besties and just don't want to admit it. A pastor called two women up to the front of the church. They were fighting for years everything from doctrine to cheese cake. With the body seated he had the two women stand face to face with each other and told them to say the Lord's Prayer each of them was doing wonderful. Then they came to the part "Father forgive" and they both broken crying, Its awful easy to think we are being faithful to our Lord only to find we might not be so spiritually mature. What you have done to the least of my followers we do unto the Lord. How many things we say to each other we would never say or never say that way if it was the Lord actually sitting there instead of the feud partner we see with eyes of sight and closing our eyes of Faith.

Doctrine has been the dirty "D" in the church and it will continue to be so but they will know we are His by our love one to another. If I have offended anyone in anyway whether you were in the right, I was in the right or neither us was right. I am here as part of His Body and to attack you is like a human body developing a foul disease in this case a misplaced idea of m y love for Him turned into they will know you are mine by your bickering. Please forgive and if I start heading that way, and it is so easy when do doctrine, please try and retore me with all gentleness and meekness and I will pray to go so if the leaven overtakes you as well. Thanks.

I am a lousy typist and often lave words out such as here. The Lord would not, will not commit spiritual adultery. This is what happened between the Lord and Israel

No pot shot, no mocking in what I said. No need to clarify either because it is you who missed the point not me.

Nothing unique about your belief system. I`ve heard everything you are indoctrinated with from long ago.
Nothing really unique about yours either.

All legalists and Judaizers think that the Lord Jesus Christ failed in one way or another. The only thing unique about them is the way they make up in their minds what the Lord has failed to do.

He either failed to fulfill the whole law, and so we are under some, or He failed in some other way and now we must still be under some jewish traditions.

You aren't the first one to come up with this. There have been MANY before you. I kind of miss some of them...

Its the necessary result of the carnal mind. Well, I can't see the kingdom so it must not be here yet. Therefore Christ must not have done what He said He would do.

Maybe it is your understanding that is at fault here and not the failure of the Lord Jesus Christ? Maybe the Lord DID fulfill what He said He came to fulfill but MAYBE you can't see it yet?

It's too difficult to receive this from people I think. Especially people that you think you are in some kind of competition with. I think you see things differently than I do. I think it is kind of cool when someone makes you take a stand for what you believe and back it up with scripture. It kind of strengthens your faith.

I think you could have some really important points in scripture to show people. I don't think I would agree with all of them but I could show you how I see some of them and kind of do agree with some of what you post. I think we would just have to agree to disagree on some things.

Just like EG and I agree to disagree on a few things. But major important things we agree.

I don't know yet if you and I fundamentally disagree on who Jesus Christ is and what He has given His People. It kind of seems like we might. But I still don't know for sure.

I like Nayborbear.

I just DON'T like when people try to change Christianity into some humanist works based religion.

There are plenty of other religions to follow if that is what you are into.

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Still no shortage of synagogues...
