I watched Dead Poets society movie for the first time last night. The title ought to have given me a clue, but I wasnt expecting anyone to die in the movie! Now am sad.

Why? And, what about Robin Williams? He was meant to be funny, but he was being dead serious.

Robin Williams was a brilliant entertainer that's for sure.

Ive seriously lost my good" reputation by starting this thread. Who will respect me now? Am I leading all astray ? the snake in disguise? Am I promoting relativism? I always thought I had a relatively good sense of humour though.
In a relative sense you do indeed have a good sense of humor.

Over the years Ive really honed my humility skills. I always let others talk first before interrupting them.
I listen to others then humbly point out where they are misguided.
I never boast how many books Ive read. Because I havent read that many.
I nod my head in agreement when I am humbly preparing what I am going to say.
Lord. How would you cope without humble servants like me?

Im terrible at interrupting.
I found that if I dont interrupt people, they just talk right over me and dont hear anything I say. They could be talking for hours. I had a boss like that. We would have meetings where it was him talking all the time and we could only ask questions right at the end he got an hour and we workers got like less than five minutes.

So, maybe theres a better way but I havent found it yet. If I waited till my new boss finished what she was doing so I could speak to her, I would be waiting months. By that time, I wouldnt be able to get anything done because its dependent on whether shes free to speak to me.

It's hard not interrupting. It's also hard for me to listen too long to someone as well sometimes as I can't help “tuning out”

If someone goes on too long I can even forget what they said in the first place because I just can't help losing interest.

My husband used to go on too long sometimes trying to teach the rest of the family the benefits of not putting wooden handled knives and forks in the dishwasher. He would unload the re-load dishwasher for about an hour sometimes and say “why doesn't anyone listen?”

In the end he gave up when someone bought me a magnet for the fridge that said.

“My husband said I don't listen to anything he says….mmm or something like that”.
