Earlier this week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said his chamber would have "no choice" but to hold a trial on whether to remove President Donald Trump from office if the House votes to impeach.

But in a new campaign ad on Facebook, the Kentucky Republican claims that any impeachment attempt will fail as long as he remains in charge of the Senate.

"Nancy Pelosi's in the clutches of a left wing mob. They finally convinced her to impeach the president," McConnell says directly to the camera in a 17-second video. "All of you know your Constitution. The way that impeachment stops is a Senate majority with me as majority leader.

Lots of hoopla... we shall see

No president has ever been convicted by the Senate and removed from office.

It's not going to happen this time either. The Constitution states that the Senate has the sole power to try an impeachment case but is not obligated to actually do so. The Senate, in the course of trying an impeachment can simply choose not to proceed with the trial, dismiss the articles of impeachment, or adjourn the trial from the beginning and never reconvene. It would take 67 votes to actually impeach President Trump but with a 53 - 47 edge for the Republicans all 47 Democratic Senators would have to vote guilty along with 20 Republican Senators. Not a single Republican would vote guilty. The whole thing is a farce and it seems unlikely that the House will even actually vote on a single article of impeachment. What a sham.

CWII is inevitable.
I absolutely agree with you. It will either be accepting the tyranny of the fascist left, or an actual war. I don’t see any way around that.

Not angry at your comment, angry at the time wasted on this sham, as you say. Tired of it. And they won't stop if he wins again. And that is what they fear, he will win again. So they have suddenly realized they better get him out now by all means necessary.

I think it has already started .... which is exactly what the power brokers want, the real threat is neither from the left or the right.
There have definitely been open skirmishes; Atifa, BLM, obama sicking the IRS on conservatives, the incident at Charlottesville, Virginia, And of course the soft coup against President Trump, a duly elected president, let’s not forget that little incident. Yeah, the wheels have already started spinning.

The awaiting dystopian slave state ... almost there ....unless God intervenes.

Something to think about: Power brokers are in play because they make money through unrest, but don’t look past leftists and their godlessness. They are indeed a threat; like troops on the ground, they need to be neutralized.

Steven Colbert just said "Trump is considering White hose staffers to take polygraph tests to stop leaks, Trump requiring lie detector tests would be like Keith Richards requiring drug tests". :D:LOL::ROFL::p

Making fun of the president has been a TV staple since before I was old enough to stay up that late. Jonny Carson, Joey Bishop, Jay Leno...
I'm all for draining the swamp, rather pumping out the swamp starting from the top. Whoever pays lobbyist followed by lobbyists then the representative that take the money. People that take bribes or embezzle 1 day in jail for every $50 they wrongfully accept so any one that launders $100k would spend 5.48 years in federal prison. A million dollars 54.8 years And so on. then make Senators, representatives etc. A pro rated pay. If they miss a session charge them a days pay, Just like a real job. That sounds like a good way to start. Then start charging crooked politicians who rig elections with treason and sedition. If they are running for president since the presidential candidate is applying for Commander and chief of the entire US military a military court marshal for treason and or sedition would be in order I think. Yes I'm talking about Hillary too. That sounds fair to me.

We should let the politicians know who's boss. WE ARE! If the pres looses his or her mind we have the 25th amendment. It's not mutiny if the captian goes nuts. Who is so foolish that they think being president makes them beyond reproach? Don't they realize they should expect to be the most closely watched person in the free world? Their finances should be transparent. We care more about that than who they sleep with. Remember JFK? Good night. ZZzzz.

I'm personally looking to Canada to see which way they choose. See if they keep that goof in office or toss him to the curb. One hypocritical lot if they put blackface back into office. We shall see.

Making fun is one thing, trying to unseat a duly elected president is, well, treason. And the media are guilty as charged.

I’m still on the fence about this impeachment process, but I’m growing very frustrated with the president’s decision to let Turkey run the show.

So you nener heard about Andrew Johnson, Richard Nixon or Bill Clinton? The president is our employee and it's the presses' job to report the truth. If they are lying slander is punishable. If there is a conspiracy that's a crime in itself.
