i will define "happy" first.
Happy is:
some friends or family around
sharing a joke
relaxed
some interesting event or life change on the horizon so optimism
good health
maybe have a partner in honeymoon stage of relationship
life is exciting and varied
you are learning new things

I would choose the last year of High School so age 17.
No girlfriend but lots of friends. Playing rugby well. College the next year. What course? Which college?
I had so many intwresting conversations that year. About everything. I was so lucky to have such unique intelligent friends.
My family too were a huge support
Exciting times. Neil Young and Bob Dylan at their peak. 1975. Praise the Lord!

Happiness is a big problem because it depends on circumstances. Some people have never been happy, others find it fleeting, and some are just happy a lot of the time.
I say it serves no good purpose to see happiness in the past, but that's a bit telling on myself. I say it's best to not even seek to be happy because it cultivates malcontent. It's best to just be grateful for today in what ever in brings.
The man who believes in happiness to come is not content with now, and the man who believes he was happy in some time past becomes a person who lives in the past and don't function well now.
I used to listen to Dennis Prager talk about happiness and how it's important, but I no longer believe that to so. I think it's best to just understand where you are at and be thankful for what you have in this moment.

That can play a part in some people being happy.. But more often, being happy or not is founded on ones current experiences..

You may have hope that things will get better in the future but that does not remove the suffering of today..

No sure that is true in a purely Christian context..

But in some cases people suffer now with the idea that their current suffering will bring about a better future.. Like people saving money now and going without the nice things of life in the hope of experiencing a comfortable retirement..

But in a christian context our current suffering in no way wins for us eternal life in Gods perfect existence.. That has been secured for us by what Jesus went through on the cross..

"We think of comfort and luxury as requirements for happiness. The only thing a person really needs to be happy, is something to be enthusiastic about."

An old saying, but one that seems to be true, at least from what I've seen. I know a lot of people in a lot of different circumstances, and (for happiness) the only constant across the board is the happy ones have something that makes them excited when doing it, planning it or even just talking about it.

So hmm... around what age was I the happiest... I'd say the last decade and a half has been pretty sweet. I got into music! I've always liked singing, but with technology making so many things possible these days, it's a great time to be a music nerd.

I don’t think there has been any time in my life that joy hasn’t equally mixed with stress. Because I seem to find humour easy and continually, it pulls me through the battles. I’ve had to work hard for everything I have. I honestly think my best days are ahead of me. I look forward to a quiet house with frequent visits from my children and when they get grandchildren.

Happiness most times is based on the circumstances we find ourselves. But I would say the time when I was the happiest was when I am in right standing with God.

ROMANS 14:22.
Have you Faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows.
hence, 'we are 'always HAPPIEST when we have a 'good conscience toward God and men'...
oh boy, happiness is always an 'ongoing process'!:):)

That’s kinda hard to pin down. The idea of happiness and our definition of it fluctuates so much as we grow older...

I think in terms of ignorant bliss, it would be around 4. I had no responsibility, I wanted everyone to be my friend. I got to hang with my sister and go to the little parties with PTA without having to actually go to school... My daddy was still alive...

But there were downsides too. I wouldn’t wanna be that state forever.

As far as my relationship with Christ, I can say right now I’m happy. Things aren’t perfect, they never will be, but I feel like I’m moving towards good things in life.
