If you do not persevere until the end, you were never really born again.
then it's this rebirth -- which is wholly God's work, not mine -- which produces said perseverance, if it is indeed the evidence of it.

we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
(Romans 5:3-5)

Thou knowest the commandments: Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not commit adultery: Thou shalt not steal: Thou shalt not bear false witness: Honour thy father and mother.

that's ridiculous.
how can you fail to persevere in faith if your faith never wavers?
you're telling lightskin he can end up in hell even while completely trusting in his Savior. that makes the Savior not great at saving.
This is THE very important point that epitomizes the workers to attain or maintain Salvation.

They DON'T trust in Jesus Christ, and call Him nothing less than a failure, or potential failure. They don't see HIM as the Author and Finisher of our faith.

And because they think He can fail, THEY must DO works instead of relying on His finished Work.

It really IS about faith. Trusting and believing on Him alone, but the completely counter-intuitive truth is, when you trust Totally in Him, the GODLY good works follow, because a GOOD TREE cannot produce bad fruit. They are so focused on the fruit, they don't realize it's all about the tree.

Who said to him: Why asketh thou me concerning good? One is good, God. But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

. . . He said, to an unbelieving liar who asked Him how he could 'work' his way into eternal life.

We sleep in the refrigerator :D No not really although my neighbours cat used to sleep in their washing machine in the steel tub part as it was nice and cool. You can get by on a strong fan but air con is much better. Some nights are a bit difficult though.

the seed fell on rocky ground, on shallow soil, and on good loam.

who can choose for themselves what kind of soil they are? i can do naught else but pray for Him to look on me, an undeserving sinner, with mercy

translation: you have to believe who Jesus is and what Jesus has done, and put your trust in Him, ceasing from your own labour & entering into His rest
Obedience comes first; we do not cease from own labour unless we enter into His rest which is called heaven.
