Jesus says you have to obey him; WHY DON'T YOU LOVE JESUS?

I never said that.....try context pal.....or maybe you are too dense to grasp I was disagreeing with what I already know you are peddling and like the snake in the garden you embellished what I said, added your own words and applied it to me.....not good man or Fran? You are showing by action that you may not know Jesus.....bad deal!

but pretty sure that's not what he said. Dcon faithfully proclaims the message of the gospel in the NT: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. when he said 'not hardly' to you he meant you don't work your way into heaven by keeping commandments.
perseverance is perseverance in the faith.
salvation precedes works. there is a causal relationship, and God is the prime causal entity.
we do not cause Him to save us by our works: He saves us according to His mercy and causes us to walk in Him: by faith, not of ourselves, but of Him that both worketh and willeth in us according to His good pleasure.
i appreciate that you want to spur us to good works. but you're not talking to people who do not love Him or people who do not believe Him or people who reject doing what is right. you're talking to people who love Him, who put all their trust in Him, and who believe Him. this thread is over 112 thousand posts of the same message: salvation is by grace through faith, not by works. not by anything we have done but by Him who calls us and who also justifies us and has sanctified us forever with one perfect sacrifice.

but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
