Not By Works

The way I see it is, the folks who are preaching this "work with God's grace for a free gift" gimmick are on the wrong side of the reformation. They are firmly on the Roman Catholic side of the reformation, where its an endless cycle of rituals, confession, penance, good works and other exercises to get you into the kingdom and even then you still gotta go through purgatory. You gotta pass away in a "state of grace" in catholicism.

Thats all this is, the only difference is most of these folks dont care to know about the history of it, and they dont ask Mary to intercede for em or any of that junk, which is good, but the plan of salvation when you take all the fluff out, is IDENTICAL to that of Rome's.

I've studied it by myself. What does Israel being backslid have to do with salvation in the here and now? They are not all Israel that are of Israel, ya know that verse?

Just like today in the churches not everyone is saved. There is the EKKLESIA, the actual CHURCH, the elect of God, the saved, the redeemed, the born again........ and then there is "the church" the buildings, the people who identify as Christians, the folks who go to church every sunday just out of habit or culture.

you can't lose something that is NOT yours. Salvation is God's guft ,redeemed by Jesus! It will always stand! He GAVE His Son for our sinful purchase price. When Jesus hung on the cross and died,He took the curse of sin! It is not a possession however,you can walk away and leave any gift behind!

Hello IFOLLOWHIM,

Sometimes we get mad at God because things in our life are not what we expected God to do for us when we got saved. It hurts but, it's our flesh that's hurting so, we backslide and runaway from God but, eventually we turnaround and run back to Him.

Even when we "think" we left Him, He never leaves us. He's just patiently waiting and watching while our flesh dies but, always keeps a firm hand on our soul. Our souls shall be restored and saved.

He never leaves nor forsakes us. God loves you, my friend and so do I. God bless you!

The word of God is simple to understand. Jesus sent back at His ascension the Holy Spirit to comfort,to teach,to remind and guide and keep us in track!

I'm not talking about emotions,I'm stating plainly " sin separates from God"! If that separation occurs so does death of our walk, our soul,all unless we repent and return. I know God's love and I also know He is not a weak God but has anger,jealousy,wrath,correction and chaistment! He expects ALL from us,just as He " gave and gives all"!
