Good Works are rewarded and doing His commandments brings blessings.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

And those who don't, are without.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
2965 a dog - a man of impure mind, and impudent man (impudent - not showing due respect for another person)

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath
James 1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass
James 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The word "study" is 4704 spoudazo to make haste, hence to give diligence, to exert oneself, endeavor, give difference, labour, study.

Both a command and a work. For not only now, but also FOR the future.

Do Christians take enough thought today of what their future life, their eternal life will be like? What work and commands will "entail" in the Millennium? And do many Christians today know what will have direct bearing on "the next day, the Lords Day??? age"???

So I thought I would do as God commands and give what has been given to me and share. This is for those from the ones "who are saved, to those who are seed of Zadok"

I was studying in Ezekiel and something struck me as very concerning. I never hear very often anyone speaking of the "different positions" that will be held and how God is allowing us to set our place for then and there, in the here and now.

*****Just a reminder, Eze from 40 on is of the "Millennium". Think "spiritual" when it comes to sacrifices, if not, bad things happen on the path*****.
You need to go study it yourself as these are just a couple "highlights"

Ezekiel 42:13 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

Ezekiel 42:14 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

Ezekiel 43:11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.

Its no wonder why we need to be "disciplining" ourselves now, if that is what will be expected of us later.

Ezekiel 43:12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

Ezekiel 43:18 And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

Ezekiel 43:19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.

Did you catch that??? Zadok - APPROACH THE LORD

Ezekiel 44:10 And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.

Ezekiel 44:11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.

Ezekiel 44:12 Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.

Ezekiel 44:13 And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.

But, The Levitical Priests, those who had others doing the "work" they should have been doing, SHALL NOT come near unto the Lord, or His things.

THEY SHALL BEAR THEIR SHAME.

The gifts from God GET YOU THERE, but YOUR WORKS, they DO FOLLOW YOU

No, there is no longer the penalty of death for sins, and they are forgiven THROUGH Christs blood, and a bigger than can be said, THANK YOU LORD. But

But it certainly gives new meaning to:

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

It isn't the "big" sins that, I think will cause us the most dishonor, it is the accumulation of all the "mean and nasty, causing division, don't seem like much, have you been saved?, little name calling, un Christian like, but you don't really repent for and do them so habitually they don't even seem sin and you can justify anyway, so they just keep adding up" ones towards fellow Christians, that will.

IMO.

So if you have been saved, start them works that will allow you to be a vessel of gold as opposed to a vessel of wood.

People often misunderstand that we was called to this.

Ephesians 2:10 New International Version (NIV)
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Not as salvation but as the body of the church becomes the hands and feet of Jesus.

Matthew 7:21-23 New International Version (NIV)
True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Where is your heart? Where is your mind? Where is your soul? Are we faithfully abiding in Christ in sanctification as we are called saints in Christ?

Mark 12:30 New International Version (NIV)
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

Ephesians 4:7-13 King James Version (KJV)
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

In glorification one day we will see the completion and fullness of Christ be perfected within us. But until then God has

Philippians 1:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

This is why I don't agree that Paul and James opposes each other like Luther said. Paul tells us that God is so holy, so to be praised, that our works are nothing compared to God. James tells us that we are created by God, we are God's creation, and we owe Him everything. Both are truths.

Yeshua/Jesus fulfilled ALL works necessary for salvation with His Blood and Body.

The good works we do now are for the Kingdom of God according to our faith in Yeshua/Jesus.

Our faith and good works as evidence of our faith for the Kingdom of God will be judged before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Any reward we get, we lay at the feet of Yeshua/Jesus.

It’s basically, the sheep on the right and the goats on the left. This judgment is all about our good works.

Yeshua/Jesus did ALL works for salvation - we are His reward!

I'm surprised someone put this so eloquently. Ty @DeighAnn

I don't feel quite so alone in this lifestyle anymore :)

Sometimes I feel like taken to the extreme it could potentially be error, but I think those pitfalls are unique to each person. I do take solace in the fact that my faith is not sight and potential errors that I have sought out as much as I can lacking further revelation and only "accusations" from the enemy I just ascribe to timing.

I am confident that there are some things that won't make sense until our faith is made sight. We may have a fuzzy pictures of it that gets clearer but it's still dim.

Indeed, God will reward good works and will receive those rewards as you sojourn here on earth. That is what causes so much confusion amongst God's children in believing their good works will help them get eternal deliverance. We also receive a deliverance (reward) here on earth by our good works. Salvation is interpreted by Greek to mean "a deliverance" There is an eternal deliverance and there is a timely deliverance. If we interpret all salvation scriptures to mean eternal deliverance the scriptures will not harmonize.

Now that is a perversion of what the post says, no denying it. Faithe without works is dead……...The Father gives us good works, we do not create them. Very sad so many misconstrue. I suppose it is their way of sayng they do not need to do anything once asking our Savior into their lives…….wake up and do, do not just give lip service.

That's okay, you don't have to believe we are Yeshua/Jesus' reward. And it's perfectly fine if I want to believe it. :giggle::love:(y)

Yeshua/Jesus went through A LOT for 33 1/2 years to save me, I think He will rejoice over all that the Father has given Him! I'm not a gift, He EARNED me! I am one of many of His rewards......(y)

But our part in this is in our will. We must be willing to accept Jesus in our hearts. None of this "my works won't save me, no use working". God created us, we are His, and our will must be to accept what He wants from us. None of this "I am born in sin, I can't be righteous" but we must be willing to let Christ work in us.

When you say " we don't create them" what do you mean?

I think, that I think, we have more to do with our "walk" to God than, dare I say, anyone else. I believe we have the free will not only to "choose" God but we are also in control of "how important" we keep Him in our lives.

I also believe that as Jesus was "a guide", (and so much more) so as is the Holy Spirit, but I make the choice to either "steal or not to" when I receive too much change, or notice something has not been rung up, and "if" I have chosen POORLY the Holy Spirit does not allow me to just "peacefully" carry on, convicting me until I make what was Unwise into a "WISE" choice, thereupon repenting asking forgiveness, praying for help and promising myself I will not shoot myself in the foot again, so to speak.

My friend and I are both saved. I study the Bible all the time. She on the other hand, not so much. Do you believe it is the Holy Spirit in me that makes me this way, and the Holy Spirit in her that makes her that way and that neither of us have a choice? It is all "by" God?? If so, where is the free will and how is it the Holy Spirit allows us to ever "sin"?

We do not direct the Maker of all that is; simply put, He does this.

Part of his inheritance to be exact.......and some vessels of honor and some not so much......!!

What is it that made people STOP understanding the FUTURE value of the OT in wisdom and knowledge?? Why isn't it being taught there is a place that lies "beyond" being saved?

Many times when the law of Moses is brought up, the most common response I hear "I am a Gentile not under the law of Moses, never have been".
When asked the question " what if you are of the scattered house of Israel?" it switches to "physical" genetics. Makes me think of "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated". Why would God hate Esau? Because his HERITAGE didn't mean anything to him. Well, it obviously means a lot to God. From that understanding of Gods feelings alone, I will count myself as a sheep of Israel, until God sets me straight.

But something has/is happened/happening in the hearts and minds of those who have come/are coming to salvation. Some how being "saved" has become the FINISH line when in Gods reality, ours also, it is the STARTING GATE. Getting saved just opens the starting gate to let the race begin. And when the race has been run, IT SEEMS one would want end up being " a Priest in the inner court, ministering to the Lord" and not just a "people".

WHAT does it take to be a PRIEST? No one can think it is just "DNA", can they?? I guess they could if they didn't understand the "spiritual" house of Israel and the meanings for the Millennium. But to become a priest, you must know ALL of Gods Word and the glory of them all. After all, Jesus came in the volume of the book to fulfill what was written about Him. The beginning to the end. Gods Plan. The what is going on in the world God created and created us to be a part of.

Somehow it became about" through the gift of faith I am saved" and I have salvation through Him, and He goes to prepare a place for me, and I have been made righteous through Him, and I am justified by Him and I have been sanctified through Him and because He loved me I now love and now the spirit will lead and guide me in all ways and all things, and I am a gentile, not under the law, so if I walk in love then I follow the law, The end. The end????? How did that happen???

I see that Jesus came and did perfectly all the works His Father sent Him to do. How that got translated to "He did it all perfect, I can do no better, so I rest", I still can't figure out.

So I bring up "works". 90% of the time I am told about the gift of salvation. In the beginning I thought, well must be a lot of new Christians joining all the time. But after a while I started seeing "a wall" built up around the subject. Why is it I can never mention works without the conversation being steered back to the "milk" of "salvation is a gift, you can't work for it"?

Who is it that doesn't want us to leave the starting gate and "start running the race"? Of course you don't work for a gift already given. It is such common sense I feel stupid whenever I say it. The response was many times the same, "well many do" they think they work to keep their salvation,
I of course think, "Well yes, I best be doing my part to become as disciplined as I can be after all, that is MY part in it, and I need to keep moving forward and maturing, and that is done through works".

Then I run into "not under the law" and find for many it really means "not applicable to me, therefore, not studied by me" yet in biblical discussions I am going to put forth what I do know, not knowing enough to know there are different levels of knowledge to know and therefore fight to keep everyone else here because I have this one bit of truth. How did that happen???? At what point did NOT studying ALL of Gods Word ever become "ok" for a Christian???

How could anyone believe that when the 1st commandment for the CHRISTIAN tells us

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

and that doesn't mean ALL ALL ALL HIS WORDS???

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

A worker bee. A worker bee so as not to be ashamed. A worker bee so as to get out the starting gate and start running the race FOR GOD, not just "what HE can do for us, but who can we be for HIM". A worker bee so He can use us, so we can be of use to Him. A worker bee to become a Priest of the inner court, (if that be Gods will for us) or at least be the best bee we can be.

There is no way God will ever get mad at you for having studied His Word with all your heart and all your mind and all your strength.

It is not "works" to "keep" salvation, it is "works so that MAYBE you will be worthy to be "a vessel of honor". That can be found in studying and knowing ALL of Gods Word, and ALL of Gods laws, under them or not so you wont end up being a vessel of dishonor.

Luke 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken

Luke 12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Luke 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Luke 12:49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

Luke 12:50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division

Do Good Works and Do His Commandments and maybe...
There's no "maybe". "Certainly" should have been inserted there.

As to the prophecy of Ezekiel it has absolutely no bearing on the Church. It is all about redeemed and restored Israel -- the twelve tribes. See chapter 48 and stop misapplying Scripture.

The OT oTanahk has contained within all the teachings and foretelling of our Savior. From Genesis we are taught Abraham is aour Father, spiritually and by translation of His Name. Some folks who have a streak of dislike for the founding fathers will say anything to turn people away from the OT. These folks will not be much in the Kingdom to come if they do not straighten up and open their hearts to Jesus, Yeshua, and the origins of His Gin the OT........
