Btw, to keep things balanced, how do men dress/act modestly?
The answer is that Men and Women generally have the same standard, a man for example who is going around in a tank top showing off all his muscles is wearing an immodest top, also t shirts that are TIGHT are immodest aswell. This could also be applied to a Woman, aswell.

The general rule is that clothing that is Tight and also that doesn't cover is immodest, for both Men and Women.

Here is the guideline from the bible itself, i wouldnt take it to an extreme though, BUT in saying that, for people out there that are reading this, YOU MUST DRESS MODESTLY, its not a suggestion, its SIN not to, ITS A SIN TO NOT LOVE GOD AND NOT LOVE NEIGHBOR WITH YOUR DRESS. THERE IS EVEN WARNINGS ABOUT CAUSING PEOPLE TO STUMBLE FROM JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, FEAR GOD. (no im not angry btw, this is what i do at times)

:):):) We spend hours and hours at the gym when we are young. Why?, to develop something others don't have
Later in life, we spend years accumulation $ and "things". Why?, to amass something others don't have.

Become a "Christian", and you have to pretend you never did any of that. LOL

BTW, I am still in good enough shape that I wouldn't wear baggy T shirts.

I managed a minute and a half of that video and had to shut it off because I didn't want to lose the meal I just finished. I once was in a "church" like that. Thanks be to God, He got me outta there.

hmm? a church like that? all churches are commanded to be modest. (not in a legalistic way, but in a truth and spirit way)
BTW legalism, is a mindset, not an action.

Why, then, isn't the guy preaching wearing baggy, sloppy clothes like the man on the cover picture.? Instead, he has on at least $500 of a very closely tailored suit. The jacket even narrows in so that you can see he has a slim waist. LOL. (There are all kinds of what one could call "immodesty."

Im with you there brother hahah its kinda funny tbh, its just a preference i think, im not into it either, yet the guide line is from the bible and gives us a picture of what should be the norm in churches.

Wearing expensive clothing has nothing to do with christian modesty, so the way that we can not be legalistic about is to see the heart of modesty is the gospel. That the gospel is what empowers the law, not the other way around, so legalism is not operating out of that mindset.

Modesty is important. I enjoy dressing modestly. But I think it's equally important for men to dress modestly as well.
There are the obvious ones like mini skirts and booty shorts. But something that I find a little uncomfortable is sleeveless shirts for both genders. I also don't like it when men take off their shirts. What's that about? If women have to keep their shirt on, you should too buddy...

I want to add...the casualness of clothes in church kinda surprises me sometimes. As a child, I was taught that the house of the Lord should be respected and one could not wear shorts or sandals. When I go to church, I am sometimes shocked by how people dress. It's not uncommon to see the congregation in jeans and t-shirts. Even some pastors dress this way. I guess they're trying to attract younger crowds...but I think if you're over 18 you should dress a certain way for service.

The Holy Spirit teaches us how to walk in Christ,TALK in Christ, and live in Christ!
I have no "so called head " to rule over me except God!

Btw there are much MORE important things than dress in the bible!
Sins that come from the HEART of man is what separates from God!

 As we keep telling our offending clients...… "Sorry, your reaction is not the girl's fault."
"Yeah!" "This is God's way of "testing" one's discipline!" "By allowing you to see a woman who has no discipline!"
Right?

Gotta be some "truth" concerning:
Matthew 6
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

This is some advice that I give everyone who wants to concern themself about other folks' clothes.

Stop it and mind ya own business.

I assume the best of my brethren in Christ. Yes we all have our failings, and I for one knowing my own failings offer grace to others for theirs.
So unless theirs is so egregious that it can not be tolerated, I let the small stuff slide.

I personally don't care how other people dress even though I find certain things to be in bad taste. Being in bad taste in my opinion is not sin. I'll give you an example. Grown men who wear sneakers, and baseball caps, and t-shirts. This to me is like a man who refuses to grow up, but it's my personal opinion and it has no place in governing the way folks dress in church so I keep it to myself, unless I am asked, or am out trying to buy clothes for myself and some smarmy sales person tries to sell me that stuff.
Now it is quite fun when some man child with a baseball cap and sneakers on says something about the way some one is dressed in church (usually some teenage girl who didn't think she had out grown that dress) and I say "yep, no worse than those shoes and that child's hat you have on." You look like you're still trying to be in the youth group.

This video is poppycock, the Bible does not specify in Genesis that God covered more of them than they had covered. This guy is rediculous he even mis-defines modest. I didn't get any further than his false assertion about the clothes that God gave Adam and Eve.
Grow up and stop worrying about how others dress. The modest dress statement in the Bible addresses excessive gold jewelry, and braided hair specifically and only implies indirectly about the square inches of material to be worn. The guy in the video is in violation of modest dress with his taylored suit. The problem with some Christians who get so holier than thou is that they forget to judge themself and start judging others by their own assessment of what the Bible says rather than what the Bible actually says.
Get off the gas man, this train is derailed.

you won't get anywhere with clothing dude

he already claimed he has been blessed by the gift of teaching (saved 7 yrs) and not married. this is just the beginning of the wisdom he wishes to pass on

nothing will dissuade him either because he thinks we are persecuting him if we point out that clothing does not define Christians and heart matters are the actual concern

when someone says 'I will pray for you' because you pointed out the fallacy of their 'preaching', you know they have on the helmet of 'I can't hear you nah nah nah'
