Welcome Jago, that definitely is true. And if science goes contrary to bible, then it is definitely the one which is wrong not God.

All flying insects and birds are way more complex than any modern airplane or flying object and this is an evidence that there is a supreme creator. Welcome to Christian Chat!

Greetings, Jago! 🙂 God is the mastermind behind science. Science is submissive to His omnipotence. It reflects Him.
I thoroughly enjoyed Chemistry in high school. This surprised me, because I was no math star. I was more into English and Literature. But I found Chemistry fun.
I sincerely hope you reach a place of certainty about faith in God.

"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything. Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us." Acts 17:24-27

Welcome to CC!
