Only God should decide when a life is to end..
However, Mr. Leung was a great man. He involved two revolutions, the first revolution was failed, I don't hope he will see the revolution of our time is failed too.

Only God can answer these questions. He is the final judge and anyone who pretends to understand the mind of God is a fool. It is said suicide is a sin, but as to whether or not it condemns a man to hell is not for any man to judge.
Wrong. God’s mind can be found in His word where we are told the believer is sealed unto the day of redemption. No sin can keep us from that day. If so, nobody would be saved.

The main insanity of suicide is that you are trying to use it to escape from what you are now experiencing..... But, you are entering into something totally unknown, that is far more permanent, and from which you can NEVER EVER possibly escape. You cannot escape from the hereafter by committing suicide a second time.
Also, Satan, the father of lies, has so penetrated the mind to lead the person to the point of having no worth.

yes!

I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.
He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Oh please sister or brother 😅,my English is terrible as Hong Kong police. Do not argue or anger with me. The boy wants to take the dollars on the road, the car can't stop and go toward to him,you saved him,but the boy said : I just want to make a fortune, you stop me bla bla.
i hope i can help you put this into better English,

@blue_ladybug

he's talking about someone jaywalking trying to get hit by a car so they can collect insurance money.
sometimes you hear about homeless people in America trying to do the same thing.
you try to stop them, and they get mad at you for saving them.

he hopes that the protests will end well for them. that they won't be like the person who doesn't have any hope left but to injure themselves. in the analogy Mr. Leung is like the man trying to save them from doing that - but if this all ends with China brutally squashing all the revolution, then maybe they will be like the boy running back into the street after he was prevented the first time, and Leung's actions would have been in vain. if the boy finds a way to have success without harming himself, then Mr. Leung will not have acted in vain.

Kill Lincoln is sin, kill Hitler is not a sin.
Mr. Leung dead for all of Hong Kong people, Carrie Lam didn't say anything to him, she treats us as Cockroach and pig. Carrie Lam announced she is a Catholic.....she didn't stop it.
> Kill Lincoln is sin, kill Hitler is not a sin

WRONG. Who are you to decide who it is okay to kill or not or what is a sin? I don't think you understand Western history either.

Greetings Brother and welcome to CC...

Here is a link written by The Christian Post this past September that does a decent job of casting a broader net across the vast synopses that touch upon this topic.
"Is Suicide a Pardonable Sin?"

Infamous picture/story of Monk who committed Self-Immolation
Thích Quảng Đức (Vietnamese: [tʰǐk̟ kʷâːŋ ɗɨ̌k] (
listen); 1897 – 11 June 1963; born Lâm Văn Túc) was a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death at a busy Saigon road intersection on 11 June 1963.[2] Quảng Đức was protesting the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government led by Ngô Đình Diệm. Photographs of his self-immolation were circulated widely across the world and brought attention to the policies of the Diệm government. John F. Kennedy said in reference to a photograph of Đức on fire, "No news picture in history has generated so much emotion around the world as that one."[3] Malcolm Browne won a Pulitzer Prize for his photograph of the monk's death.[4][5]
...Several Buddhist monks followed Quảng Đức's example, also immolating themselves. Eventually, a U.S.-backed Army coup toppled Diệm, who was assassinated on 2 November 1963.

Self-immolation is the act of killing oneself for political or religious reasons, particularly by burning. It is often used as an extreme form of protest or in acts of martyrdom. It has a centuries-long recognition as the most extreme form of protest achieved by humankind.

BTW - I have been to Hong Kong three times during it's independence - wonderful experience (before it was returned to China in 1997)... So I can empathize with your depiction of this scenario...

God Bless - praying for the people of Hong Kong...

It's my fault that Self-immolation is not suicide. British Hong Kong is very brilliant. The elder Hong Kong people still remember The civilized British police unlike Chinese army. We called Royal police "ah sir", we call Chinese army Popo nowadays. Chinese Communist party changes everything in the world. I hope you can go to the new China again 🤗🇺🇸🇭🇰

well, no matter how one thinks on this matter, I suppose the conclusion can be reached by one who has killed themself, which means no matter how the question is argued, there is no definitive conclusion

personally, I do not think it wise to kill oneself since God is the author of life and not death

I also believe that no one kills themself alone. I believe the devil and his demons are eager to push people over the edge and if the word of God is not firmly planted in the heart of a believer, even that person can be persuaded to end themself

interestingly, in a documentary I saw some time back, a person who tried to kill themself and was unsuccessful at doing so, was very thankful he did not succeed. apparently that is also the sentiment of most who are not successful at ending their own lives

Thank you friend 🙏🙏🙏. Mr. Leung didn't die, Protesters were dieting in Tiananmen square for 3 days, afterward, they were angry. Dieting is not a good way to protest. I was dieting for losing weight, one meal per day is okay, do not eat anything for one day is very crazy. So the students were crazy to do something.

Yes, I'm learning American history,if I made mistake please correct me 😅. I was interested in German history.Hitler killed and fired lots of Generals, because he thought there are a lot of people want to kill him,so everyone hate him. Stauffenberg was failed to use soap bombs to assassinate Hitler, but Berlin people made a monument to mourning him . Being a Soldier is a weird job. The rest of things will be solved by God. Religion problem is hard to study. 🙏🙏🙏

the Commandment of 'Thou shall not kill' is referring to 'not killing someone for NO real REASON -mayhaps by accident!!!
the word 'murder' is very different, it is an act of vengeance or revenge upon another for one's own personal-sake/stake!!!

Suicide is a result of mental illness. I don't think adding to the suffering of relatives and friends by suggesting the person "sinned" and may not go to heaven is particularly loving.

Everyone hate it,but the social forces you to protest or Self-immolation. We're lucky to witness Hong Kong is going well nowadays. 🤗🙏🙏🙏
