I'll try and find the right Bible verses, but just for the record, I confirm my allegiance to Christ as a Christian man of God, who is and always has been, and always will be, attracted to only women. I further agree with the statement of the United Methodist Church, even though my home church is the Orthodox Church, as a born-again Christian, that homosexuality is incompatible with Christianity. I have never been attracted to males and rejoice in being homophobic, and just because I lack resources, or even coffee money to go out on a date to find a girlfriend, does not mean I am not looking for her.

And just because I turned down a ladies offer to go to her room recently to play cards, does not count because even though I needed the money, I'm a devoted Christian, and want to build a relationship with a lady, over 45-ish, based on a loving attraction that could lead to marriage.

It's vital to obey the Lord in healthy relationships, without judging or hurting others. And to honor social boundaries (social distance/invitation) according to the Bible, socially acceptable norms (God given sacred social/geographic/spiritual parameters) parameters = not being in the presence of near the points of contact established by the social circles of others, or trespassing through media, phone texting, or other means of visible signs of being there. Except the occasional riding up on a horse at someone's wedding as a last ditch Hollywood stunt to give a lady an open window, which usually doesn't work, and isn't always safe, especially if the dude is rich and has lots of security guards.

"rejoice in being homophobic".....
I only got that far....... that might stir up some members here. I'm not sure I like that expression myself.

Romans 1
1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Maybe he meant 'heterosexual' ? Could just say we rejoice in being normal and natural (according to Romans 1).

God is spirit and would that He be worshiped in spirit and truth.. When the flesh gets in the way, it is just that, in the way. Remember we are to imitate Jesus Who did not come to condemn rather to forgive. Put this into practice and flesh will no longer block your path.

I understand why people reject homosexuality based on the literal reading of the Bible, and the message is also consistent in both OT and NT. This issue is tricky because supporters of LGBT folks view this matter as a human rights issue, where some people are not being treated equally/fairly as others. To add to this injury, a lot of LGBT folks do face abuse and rejection even from family. So, to respond to the message title, generally speaking with a few exceptions, there really is no way to reject homosexuality without LGBT folks feeling hurt or judged.

Maybe it has become trite to say "judge the sin not the sinner". are they not inseparable?

Better to say 'hate the sin, not the sinner'. If we love them, we will tell them, because we do not want them to go to hell.

If anyone quotes Romans on the subject and does not read it all they are misinformed and misinforming for God made this specific group of people to do ungoldly things because they had rejected the truth of God and God, Himself. It is for that cause that specific group of people was turned over to reprobate (unsaveable) minds.
Please who where Juseus condemns any sin other than the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. You will not find it.

Please forgive others, especially when they are no threat to you or to me. God bless you always all...j

But if they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior?
I do not believe that it is acceptable for a person to go on willfully living a sinful lifestyle after they have died to self and given their life to Jesus.

Jesus is God. Jesus condemns ALL sin. That is what makes sin sinful. That is why we have the OT. It tells us what sin is and what God thinks about it and what the consequences are for those who reject Jesus' payment for it.

Completely agree with this. We are not called to be judges over anyone, but it is our duty to warn them of the wrath that is to come for those who are not covered by the Blood.

Romans 12
12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
12:16 [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Amen. We agree on this.

You would really have to be in love with a lady, but I forget which movie that was, and she would have to be in love, and looking for a way out, and her heart was holding her back.

Books and movies see things from different views. Like the movie ,"First Knight" portrayed a perfect example of a lady who had to choose between duty and honor and her true love, but was overcome by her love.

Her defense to the king was, she gave him the rest of her life, and only gave one long awaited kiss to a Knight. The King realized that her heart was devoted to another, and only her will was holding her to him, even though her love was real for both.

Even though my own relationship with the Lord needs more love, before I find a lady, Jesus said that we must love God above all else, and for that relationship to be real, we as Christians have to weed all idolatry from the gardens of our hearts, for the righteousness of the New Covenant to take root, and soar on wings of love and grace.

For a Christian man of God, such as myself, it means standing next to a lady of faith at Church, ready to go where "angels fear to tread."
Good standing with her, for one.
