well there is the anti sin ammunition overall of course.
yet you look at some posts on here and gayness seems their least favourite sin.
maybe you rank heterosexual adultery on the same level but clearly many dont. because its a symbol of left wing politics, people hate it more?
Heterosexual = (male/female attraction, relationship, romance, marriage, intimate non-sexual casual time/dating, social activities - joining hands and walking on a beach).

Hetero-sexual does not imply actions, but is a term used to describe Christian teaching regarding social and non-sexual male/female relationships, as well as intimacy that is meant to be safer within a healthy, peaceful, marriage or pre-marriage relationship.

Since marriage between same sexes is not possible, then adultery can only apply to a marital relationship, and betrayal of intimacy, considered sacred emotional/spiritual "boundaries" guarded by angels, would be more serious between the married couple.

Since there is no such thing as same-sex adultery, they would be betraying social illegal boundaries, and breaking God's commandments, just as heterosexual offenses, except that most Christians consider the former far more serious.

One of the king's in the old testament expelled the male prostitutes from the temple, but not the women. This is an example of the former being considered more serious in Judaic history.

I'll try and find the verse.

i used to be an inflexible scripture verse pointing Christian until I discovered God wants us to be more human and less robotic.
LOL. Me too. I once told an older lady she might go to hell for being divorced when I was a kid.

This discussion is getting weirder and weirder. First of all, you can't reach out and catch a sugar-plum fairy. They are just imaginary. And angel-dust is not the same as fairy-dust. Either way, you don't want to get them angry.

We shall rule with Jesus, Yeshua, as it is written, however in this age beware of assuming this privilage ahead of the time for it...…...after time that is.
Amen. Thanks for your posts.

ive just had a quick scan. i didnt see that distinction being made by the OP.
Well, the title was to agree with the Bible without judging others, and we've all done a good job of it, but my tired mind needs rest. Live and let live works, and peaceful activism. But when they start teaching children in public schools a hidden political agenda that only creates more confusion, then that's crossing the line.

Young people face enough confusion, and should not be used as pawns in politics.

It's like throwing a croc into a school classroom. How do you all deal with politics in Australia?
It has to be safer there than ours here in the USA and Canada?

I will not be manipulated by you or any other liberal psycho-babble control freak regarding my relationship with God and how I refer to Him. I will refer to God as He, Him and Father all day every day for all eternity unless He says otherwise. You can take that to the bank. Let me guess, you proclaim Jesus was a genderless human being while walking the Earth. Got it!
I'm not quite sure how "liberal psycho babble control freak" happened in this post? Jesus was the Son of God, and Mary and Joseph, a man of God, who spoke to God as His Father in Heaven.

I think I agree. Other than the physical act of homosexuality which is Bible says is an abomination when read literally, I don't see how being gay affects character or matters of the heart (betrayal, theft, lying, etc.).
I believe it's an emotional boundary issue. Whenever someone trespasses, regardless of the situation, values keep getting compromised.

or you"ll go to Hell if you listen to Hey Jude backwards. something like that
The first dancer I saw with my high school friends was a lady dancing to "Hey Jude." And I'm sure everyone went on to healthy living. One of them became a pastor, and I'm sure my first stripper, who didn't look quite at home on stage, could only be blessed!

Everyone get of the bench and think for a moment. Anyi sinner who repents of this world, of the flesh will be with God forev er.

There will be no memory of the sin of the past, and dthe work begun in each of us will have been completed by the One Who initiated that work; we will be perfect. No one is perfect in this age, and no one is perfected.

If a person condemns any other, even a murderer, in his heart to eternal damnation, how is that peron going to receive mercy? Get off of f the judgement bench and remain on your kness in thanksgiveng always. For the love of Yeshua.

This is the Book of Jude making it bad:
1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Maybe the stripper didn't like this message either. She, like some of you, might have preferred that everybody silently tiptoe thru their tulip-life without rocking the boat.

Still trying to figure out the playing cards bit.
Is it a sin? Or only if you play poker?

Everything else seems straightforward.

I cant believe some people here have never danced and think dancing is the same thing as stripping.
Jesus is able to redeem anyone who repents so, I dont think His arm is too short to save. We cant go round comdemning people before the final judgement day, warning, yes, but not condemning.

… and this is the Faith we are to contend for, full context included:

Romans 1
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

where "angels fear to tread."
Where are you drawing this quote from?

I think the word homophobia should not be used. Phobia is an irrational fear. How is it irrational precisely? There is a pretty solid scientific rationale in the fact that currently there is no explanation for why STDs are not possible for two virgins. I did a quick search and that is the assertion by planned parenthood (top of the search results). I didn't keep scrolling to see if this applies to only heterosexual relationships, I would presume there is not enough data and won't be.

Two virgins marrying is rare in the first place, I'm not going to go further than that at present but there is a potentially an incredible article that could be written.

Clearly it's just happenstance that the scriptural design and science agree with each other in this instance? It should give even a skeptic of scriptural morality pause.

I won't be explicit but sodomy (either between a man and a woman, a man and a man, or a woman and a woman) is risky even if STDs are excepted from the argument. Even the scientific community is seemingly split on this issue. With some saying such side effects are rare and other saying that it is a very real risk.

I only read one article this particular time and it's so much about dressing things up that I find it distasteful. You can present risks of certain activities and offer safety advice without trying to convince people that it's almost entirely safe. That is, if you felt there were nothing wrong with it. So even from a medical perspective, I find it misleading. Minor fecal incontinence for the rest of your life as a common issue isn't minor if it's permanent. You need your pelvic floor muscles not to be tampered with.

It looks a lot like roulette with your body.

Anyone that does any medical research can take away enough information to be extremely cautious...

The same dangers can easily be applied to a heterosexual couple, although for some reason, it is much more likely male on male. I will not assert the reason for this.

If you are unwilling to believe in the wages of unrighteousness, then at least medical and scientific knowledge should bear serious consideration.

This isn't @you specifically, just my thoughts on the particular word and the casting it has been subject to, and that it shouldn't really be used as it doesn't mean what the simple root words say at present.

Your proprietary boundaries I certainly appreciate as they mirror my own, so it's nice to feel less alone.

Sexual immorality is clear scripturally whether it's with a man, woman, dog, or corpse.

Umm, I'll edit out my post because I would hope you aren't comparing an arbitrary term like "rare" (not unheard of btw more uncommon/rare) as a lie from the pit. I see it as by his grace that I didn't succumb to temptation. If that was meant for encouragement...it is appreciated.

To be honest, I am not sure what the intentions were, I'm a little slower socially, maybe it was that one lonely beer I shouldn't have had, she said cards, I said "I'm broke, maybe strip poker," then, "kinda cool," then money was flashed, an argument with someone trying to put down Sarah Palin, and then the card lady was gone, and I said, "I guess I'll watch football alone."
Something like that.
This is why Christians should not drink alone.

Jude is a powerful book of the Bible. Step-brother of the Lord?

Keep rocking the boat with those powerful scriptures. We all need to hear them.
That was 1978 or so, and I didn't believe them, but sure enough...
She seemed like not the type to let men own her, and was just visiting, and wondering what the clueless young men high school grads were doing there, one who was led to the Lord by a lady and became a pastor. Iwas pretty shocked, but never forgot her or the song.
