On the pulpit is a banner with a square in the middle and inside the square is the number 4. That number is significant. Around the four edges it says Jesus Christ, Saviour, Healer, Baptiser, and Coming King.

Please do not tell me I deny the good news of Jesus. Not only that, it is a personal insult as well. I feel like reporting you for saying that.
So this is your church

The Elim Pentecostal Church is a UK-based Pentecostal Christian denomination.

You have me mixed up with someone else. My sister has never been a moderator. I don't understand the picture completely.
Sorry about that. I met them this morning on here and thought she had come back.

Personal insults are not good, but neither are generalising insults good either

No personal insult and will always be about the doctrine.

I get that it is not personal when people disagree with me, I wish they would afford me the same courtesy.

I never saw that banner.
However I left the church when I sought help.
I was asked if I prayed in tongues.
When I said no I was told it was evidence I wasn't saved.

i can also say constant fear is no good i hated insecurity. perfect love casts out fear.
The person who presently believes in Christ has nothing to fear. It is the most secure place to be in all of heaven and earth.

The fear osas likes to address is the fear of not having enough works to earn salvation. That is a legitimate fear that needs to be dispelled. But that is not a fear to the one who knows and believes that salvation is by a faith in Christ that doesn't stop believing but continues believing to the very end.

These days, once saved always saved seems to be preoccupied not only about not having enough works to be saved when Jesus comes back, but in these last few years about the insistence that you do not have to still believe in Christ when He comes back to be saved.

I understand the part about the fear of not having enough works to earn salvation, but this recent addition to osas of not fearing being in unbelief is just plain nuts. This is a fairly recent phenomenon in the church. Even traditional Calvinism defended the requirement to have to believe to the very end to be saved when Jesus comes back. And, they actually defended the necessity to life a holy life in order to be saved when Jesus comes back. Not because a holy life earns salvation, but because a holy life will invariably come out of the life of genuine saving faith in Christ. But now all that's out the window. The church on whole does not believe either of those now. We are in the great falling away. It's happening right before our eyes. Jesus is coming soon.

Going through life on that emotional ride of fear and bondage to IN-security is no way to live the Christian life. :cautious:
Just keep trusting in Christ for salvation and you will never be on that roller coaster. You will always be firmly secure in Christ with nothing to fear.

That is bad, and I will let you into a little secret, neither do I. There are other gifts though but I do not talk about it.

Sure ... every believer is on the roller coaster in your framework/theory/ideology/paradigm etc., etc.,

Salvation is not probation.
The testing of your faith occurs in this life, not the life to come.

Eternal life is not temporary life.
Whether or not your faith continues determines if you will continue to possess the life that is eternal.

Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.
That's right.
If you go back to unbelief and God turns you over to that unbelief, there ain't no coming back. God doesn't allow that.
