Are you a "Luke faith Walker"? Or a "Luke sight Walker"?

Everyone is a sight walker from birth. Our senses direct us away from harm and towards pleasure. And in time our minds develop to direct us in the same way. Logic becomes the tangible path we use to fulfill our desires. We know well the laws of sowing and reaping. So we invest in our future knowing that we will reap what we sow in time. All of this is sound reasoning based on our senses.

But what does it take to become a faith walker instead? Seeing the invisible through the pages of the bible, adjusting our path according to it? We do this every time we obey scripture making it central in our plans.

But there’s more to it than that. In electronics we cannot see the electricity in a circuit. But through study we learn what it does in certain situations. So we look for those effects and we approve or repair the circuit. And so it is with the spiritual realm. The more we learn about it from scripture. We look for the effects of the spiritual Kingdom.

Jesus tells us the Kingdom of God is spiritual but only the born again can see it. And how do we see it? We read our bibles and learn to recognize the Kingdom’s traits. We begin to see all the effects of having a Kingdom in and around us without actually seeing it with our eyes. And the more we learn about the Kingdom, the easier it is to spot.

We might wonder about the flu outbreak in China. Only to discover it reminds us of one of God’s judgements in Revelation. In fact. this and all plagues of all time seem to find mention in Revelation. And in the Old Testament, sickness is always one of God’s judgements for sin.

We might wonder about the Holocaust and horrible wars of the recent centuries only to find our world mirrors God’s four sore judgements. War, famine, plague, and animals like rats that spread disease. And then we look at our leaders only to learn what Nebuchadnezzar already learned the hard way. That the most High rules in the kingdoms of men and gives them to whomsoever he will. From this point on we can see Jesus presently ruling over the nations as God with a rod of iron. While ruling the entire universe as well. As God he always ruled the nations with a rod of iron.

Often we miss the meaning of prophecy failing to understand the prophets could not explain spiritual concepts other than by using material objects to symbolize them. God promised Abraham Canaan but Abraham looked for heaven instead. He was a faith walker while most of the rest were sight walkers. They instead look for the material symbol to appear and miss what it represents. Jesus said we understand the prophecy only after he fulfills it. It proves its miraculous nature when fulfilled. But many wait for the symbols to come true, missing what they represent while happening in their presence. Who would have thought Elijah was a symbol for John the Baptist?

This is why the Pharisees rejected Jesus. Because he didn’t match what they though the prophets said about him. They looked for a physical Kingdom misinterpreting the symbols. Jesus said the Kingdom is spiritual instead. And not of this world. Yet they focused on the symbols the prophets used to depict the Kingdom and are still looking for it.

And so it is with the Kingdom of God. Many look for a physical kingdom of sight. But Jesus said the kingdom is a Kingdom of faith. It comes without observation and only the born again can see it. So if you look for the effects of an invisible kingdom in the world, you can see it if you learn of its nature through scripture.

I was making pizza and didn't have enough cheese. Until I saw this thread title. 😂
Sounds like when a church puts a 50 year old in charge of the youth and he tries to "rap" for the youth group thinking it'll be cool 😂😂

Star wars is current.
yes it is, but a lot of youth leaders make puns and joke titles like that in hopes of getting the kids attention hook line and sinker. Usually got for a laugh or two, or a lot of groans, but hardly ever brings forth much fruit......

Yes. And has become crap. But then again that's not really my point, now is it? 😁
I have the original "Luke shot first". When Lucas re-did it and made Han Solo defend himself against Gredo instead of outright blasting him it began taking a more homogenized tone in my opinion. Also thanks for pointing out my title as being somewhat corny. I changed it to "Are you a faith walker or a sight walker" as I plan to publish it on a few other forums.

I see how cheesy the title is when pointed out, and changed it to "Are you a faith walker or a sight walker" as I plan to post it on other forums too. Thanks for your comments. Have you read it? It explains the flu epidemic and other evils we see around us.

Leave it to you to reframe the prophetic.

The prophecy of the old Testament concerning messiah were FULFILLED with the advent of the God Man Jesus.

The kingdom to come is literal.
It is both here spiritually in that we are vessels and his body. We are the manifestation of the kingdom in that we house the king.

That in no way prevents the literal kingdom arrival and throne of David re established.

33.460 προφητείαa, ας f: an utterance inspired by God—‘inspired utterance, prophecy.’ καὶ ἀναπληροῦται αὐτοῖς ἡ προφητεία Ἠσαί̈ου ‘so that the prophecy of Isaiah comes true in their case’ Mt 13:14; εἴτε δὲ προφητεῖαι, καταργηθήσονται ‘and if there are inspired utterances, they will cease’ 1 Cor 13:8. It is possible that προφητεία in 1 Cor 13:8 refers to the action of producing such inspired utterances rather than to the resulting verbal form of the utterances themselves.
