For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom 10:13

So many shall say unto him Lord and yet they won't be saved???
Really, how about you take Romans 10:13 and put it in context of Paul's discourse... rather than trying to make some feeble attempt to argue salvation can be lost.

So if they never had it to begin with then one must be able to discern wither someone has salvation, but how?
No one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit. ~~ 1 Corinthians 12:3

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt 7:22-23

Humm, they obviously believed in God and yet they get cast out.
God never knew them.

These people point to works to justify them.

Gods children point only to Christ.

If God has started in us, He will continue unto the day of Christ.

If you want assurance you look to His works in you, you examine yourself as to where your trust really is. You ask Him for growth and He will provide.

We know we are His and hear His voice.

Those who point to their "many wonderful works" followed the way of the world.

They are tares and goats trying to find another way in the kingdom like a thief.

If you think "to stop sinning" keeps you saved and point to your efforts, they do not trust in Christ as savior. They thought of him as a helper.

Is that his @UnoiAmarah view... so often I hear this now........ 'I became saved when I felt bad for my sins, asked God for forgiveness and stopped sinning'

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

romans 10
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

john 10

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

How could God not know them if God is omnipotent?
He said "I NEVER knew you"

the knew He used is that of a close knowing

of course He knew them, but as enemies

not sons

they should not call Him Lord

and despite their efforts have fallen short hence the iniquity was found in them

wouldnt matter what their works were if they arent covered by the blood of Jesus and imputed with HIS righteousness

God saves anyone who comes to him, if Jews come to him they will be saved. The verses about the end of Israel doesn't mean that no Jews will be saved, God's just done using them the way he did in the past.

Do you know which verses you are talking about the tribes on the throne... I'm tired and it'll save me some work. :)
Sorry for my lack of information , it is the 12 tribes whos names are on the 12 gates , gates not thrones , my bed...

I still have so much to learn , and our discussion brought me forth to seek out the Scripture , I praise God for that Amen...

To be honest, I have. I got saved when I was seven years old. I've had very bad patches in my life. I must have prayed for the Lord to save my soul hundreds of times because of my lack of faith. Circumstances in life can do that, especially to a babe in Christ.
I have to agree here , I have suffered this greatly , but the LORD is faithful and trustworthy , we may sometimes doubt that we are His , but He does not doubt us for He knows who belong to Him...

43Iesus therefore answered, and said vnto them, Murmure not among your selues.
44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me, draw him: and I will raise him vp at the last day.

God saves those He draws . In a manor of speaking your line "God saves anyone who comes to him" is correct although it is some what miss leading when compared to the Scripture .

LOL, so he used the term 'knew' in the Biblical sense? (You might consider John 8:44.)

So he knows that those who
prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matt 7:22
as his enemies?

49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
Luke 9:49-50

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
