Same old tired, anti-truth rhetoric .... as @dcontroversal would say "with no power to save"
Ironically and Tragically they think they are preaching salvation.
The only thing they are preaching is how to become a two fold child of hell..........the bible is clear.....JESUS saves us, keeps us by HIS POWER through the faith he begins, finishes and completes....

These jokers that peddle a losable, self maintained faith, self maintained salvation are NOT preaching truth.....they are preaching false gospels that have NO POWER to save anyone, false gospels that are double cursed and EVERYONE that believes it are fools and bewitched accordding to PAUL.....

Wow....scary stuff.
My own prejudicial belief, it kills more than it saves.:(

You do not owe me an apology.
You have been polite and have posted in a friendly, joking way, which I wish we'd see more of around here.

As far as who I am and my on-line activities, that will remain anonymous. That's always the best policy when posting on-line. Let's just have some fun with it and leave it at that. ;) By the way, that 'TheRealRalph' thing was great!
Curious response, seeing as this Ralph they keep referring to seems to be wrapped in anonymity to begin with...

Just finished reading Romans 5. How can anyone possibly read that chapter and still be a self maintaining, worker bee salvationist? Their theology is woefully incorrect.

'May' means 'might'.
Really.
Check it out for yourself:

So the Catholics are not the only ones who acknowledge the actual Greek grammar in John 3:16.
Any honest person can see for themselves what the actual Greek is in that verse.
You should be a comedian, and or maybe buy a street organ and a monkey.......your self maintained faith is false pal.....and for the record, you would not know Greek if it was written in plain big block Sesame Street letters in front of your face......as proven by the drivel you peddle

There are changes regarding specific things in the law of Moses.
Required changes because there is a new Priesthood.
The law of Moses governed the old priesthood.
That is not what I am alluding to. What, if Matthew was all we had what could be ascertained in regards to the Law that Jesus is speaking about. He is extremely specific so Bear with me please. Let's start in verse 14. The Subject of 14 through 17 is light. That does not change until verse 18. Then the subject changes to Heaven. But only briefly.

So what does our Savior tell us about light? What is it and what is it's purpose?

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
(Mat 5:14-21 KJV)

Now lets see if he ignores this post , I would find it strange at this point because he is very quick to reply your post on Eternal life , yet somehow manages to skip over the times we have asked if he is Ralph ...
...xox...
Rose, we all know he is a standing joke.......he will not answer, because just like his self maintained faith that is void of Jesus, he maintains this illusion that he actually knows what he is talking about........and the illusion that he is not Ralph......!!

And how do you do that?
You believe.
And you keep believing.
That's not a works gospel, so be careful not to lump that in with it. ;)
Your last line should say....This is a work's based gospel of a self sustained faith void of JESUS because I maintain my own salvation because JESUS cannot keep his promise to finish and complete the work of faith in my by his power because he is an inept liar.......

That is exactly what you are saying pal....make no mistake!

Webster seems to think it's not only a good idea but that by definition you can actually do that:

Definition of may

1a—used to indicate possibility or probability

"—sometimes used where might would be expected
you may think from a little distance that the country was solid woods— Robert Frost"

Blah, blah, blah.....fairly confident that KOINE GREEK is far more expressive than ENGLISH and for SURE WEBSTERS dictionary HAS NO weight when USED to interpret the bible....

You should go back to Sunday School and learn about faith in JESUS.....!!!

I still see zero possibility of that being baptism. Water baptism is not birth nor required to see the kingdom of God.
It's not literally water baptism.
It's the repentance that water baptism represents (you get water baptized for repentance).
Water is being used as a metonymy* for repentance.

The fleshly effort of repentance via the old covenant births a fleshly man, not a spiritual man.
Faith in Christ via the New Covenant births the spiritual man.

"...the son born according to the flesh (the son birthed of the old covenant) persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit (the son birthed of the New Covenant)". - Galatians 4:29

*A figure of speech in which one word or phrase is substituted for another with which it is closely associated, as in the use of Washington for the United States government or of the sword for military power.

How much flesh is in 100% H20?
The question you should be asking is, "Before Jesus came, how much of my flesh is in my repentance?"
Answer: All of it.
For all your effort at repentance in the flesh, all you birth is a man of flesh, not a spiritual man.
That won't get you into the kingdom, Nicodemus. You must also have the spiritual birth, by the Spirit.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Has this ever really happened to you? I’ve been a part of many good works, but I’ve never had a lost person glorify God because of it.

I don't see how you draw the conclusion you're drawing.
Read Galatians 4:22-30. Just read the emboldened parts, then read the rest if you need to. Here Paul talks about the son born in the natural and expected way of the flesh (the old covenant of works), and the son born in the supernatural way of the Spirit as a result of the promise (the New Covenant of faith).

22For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise.

24These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. 27For it is written:

“Be glad, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
shout for joy and cry aloud,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband.” e

28Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son (the son born of the old covenant of works) will never share in the inheritance (they won't see the kingdom) with the free woman’s son (the son born of the New Covenant of faith in Christ).”

Only the son of God who is born through the supernatural birth by the Spirit through faith in Christ will see and enter into the kingdom inheritance. The son of God born through the natural and expected way of works will not enter into the kingdom inheritance.

Few know him personally.
And it's almost impossible to pin him down.
One day he's skiing in the Alps.
Next day he's big game hunting in the Serengeti.
