There’s no contradiction here. If you read the entire context it is clear that this is referring to those who deny the need of Salvation claiming they have no sin to need it.

For:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins...if we say we have not sinned we make him a liar. (1 John 1:9).

I have never stated that I am not in need of Salvation because I have no sin or have not sinned. Clearly the context here is not of someone who can say they have ceased from sin (1 Peter 4:1), but of the one who denies ever sinning to need a Savior.

And the purpose of this new covenant, of putting the law in our inward parts, was so that we could do by nature the things contained in the law, that we might not sin against it.

For when the gentiles, which have not the law, do BY NATURE the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which show the work of the law written in their hearts (Romans 2:14-15).
Paul after believing on Jesus still often would sin but God's grace was enough for him.

In Romans 7:21-25 ( KJV ) it states:" I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."

another sinless perfectionist .

I guess we were due, have not had one in while...

I do not even want to hear HOW he gets around this verse:

1 John 1:10 (HCSB)
10 If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Anyone who is sinless on this thread please raise their hands.
Anyone who has not sinned after coming to Jesus please raise their hands.

I would like to know how I can be sinless.

It is never about how many times you read through the entire bible, and MORMONS DO THE SAME AND UNDERSTAND ALMOST NOTHING.

It is about whether or NOT you Understand what it means by what it says.

In my opinion you are very weak in understanding.
It is funny and tragic to me how any person that states they read the bible can say with a straight face that they are sinless....GOD said there we only three men in history that could deliver themselves by their own righteousness IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.....DANIEL was one of the three listed.....and YET we see HIM confessing HIS SINS and the SINS of his people......it totally devalues the word of GOD to present this sinless crap that permeates religion....

a. YES our sins have been dealt with at the cross
b. YES for a believer the grace of GOD out bounds our sin when we sin
c. YES a believer can suppress sin, sin less and over come particularly grievous sins

BUT NO ONE IS SINLESS...........and or without SINNING at some point during the day, week, month or year..........and that is what theses jokers fail to grasp and understand.......as a matter of FACT the exact opposite is true......

The sinless jokers claim to be sinless and YET PAUL said the following....

a. I am the least of the apostles
b. I am the least of the saints
c. I AM the NUMBER ONE CHIEF SINNER among MEN <---this was said toward the end of his life.

The sinless crap peddled by the jokers on this site ends up denying the word of GOD and any level of honesty that one can have.

The bible absolutely teaches the following

THE spirit born of GOD is born from above by GOD and IS SINLESS AND DOES NOT SIN <---exactly why salvation is eternally given in CHRIST and secure

at the same time the above spirit is still HOUSED In a fallen body of sin that fails EVERY day, is contrary to the SPIRIT and they constantly WAR one against the other.......the ongoing sanctification in our lives and the transformation described in ROMANS 12 IS the only thing that will allow and or assist the bolded ABOVE....YET Regardless of HOW faithful we may be we will NOT be without SIN until we are either resurrected and or changed and the body presence of CHRIST and the SAINTS (both dead and alive) being brought together and GATHERED....!

The bolded was idiotic and you are supporting a losing position that reeks of a lack of contextual and scriptural honesty and or integrity!

That same author said in the first chapter of the same letter that if we say we have no sin we decieve ourselves and there is no truth in us,

if your claiming you are sinless, well the Bible says you are decieved and their is no truth in you

good luck trying to talk about them Bible to anyone
AMEN...when one purports to be sinless.....I immediately know that they have no understanding of scripture and are just peddling what a religion peddles....

This is not scripture. Who taught you to speak these words? There is not scripture that says this.

The imputation of righteousness happens when a person first hears the gospel and believes it. This is not a continual imputation for those who would continue in sin. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Awake to righteousness, and sin not. (1 Corinthians 15:34).
AGAIN your quote belies the truth that you indeed do NOT read or study scripture.......maybe your religion....but the bible not hardly.....it does INDEED state the righteousness of CHRIST is IMPUTED by faith without the deeds and or works of the law......and it is IMPUTED eternally.........

I am so sick of false religions that devalue JESUS and the truth.........

Thus saith the LORD unto this people, thus have they loved to wonder, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. (Jeremiah 14:10).

And the Madding part of it, is when you show they are too sinners; and then the refuse to believe.

And on top of it all, They think they are part of US. They are so far removed from normal Christian Beliefs, they are not even in the same Ballpark.

Time to play a FPS shooter game.

CherieR has told you: In Romans 7:21 ( KJV ) it states:" I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.'

You think you are better than Paul, and deny your sin. The Sin-Nature will be present in us until the day we die.

I HAVE TOLD YOU BEFORE, those verbs are CONTINUOUS ACTION VERBS. WE DO NOT HAVE THAT IN ENGLISH. Therefore like in
1 John 3:6 IT IS IMPLYING THOSE WHO Continuously Commits SIN; the WORLD HAS NO CHANGE IN THEIR CHARACTER; it is not a one time sin, it is a LIFESTYLE of SIN you have been freed from. IT NEVER IMPLIES THAT CHRISTIAN DOES NOT HAVE SIN, BUT RATHER, YOUR LIFE WILL NOT HAVE SIN AS YOUR MASTER, LIKE THE WORLD. AND WHEN SIN COMES IN WE HAVE THE NATURE IN OUR HUMAN SPIRIT, IF YOU HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN, TO CONFESS SIN AS IT COMES INTO OUR LIFE. THAT IS WHAT 1 JOHN 1:8-10 IS ALL ABOUT. STOP AND FLEE FROM THAT FALSE PROPHET YOU HAVE BEEN LISTENING TOO.

That is your SECOND WARNING, next time you insist on this BAD THEOLOGY, you will go on my permanent IGNORE LIST.

1 John 1:8-10 (HCSB)
8 If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

You really remind me of my AUNT, she two is well versed in the Bible, and her name is Cherie too, and her maiden name is Rathjen.

VCO,

Relax, my friend.

You believe a certain way, and I believe certain way. And we’ll leave it at that.

Again, love to all and best wishes in Jesus’ name.

Besides, my last post yesterday was not specifically addressed to you anyway.
