Can one of you explain the motive behind your dislike for Calvin? Just to reiterate I am not a Calvinist, but I am curious what drives the hatred for the doctrine efficacious grace.
hatred is your word

You stated those who align with Calvin’s interpretation of scripture are like Manson... But that doesn’t even matter, what matters is you avoiding the question of why you hate the doctrine. You can claim not to hate it but your actions prove otherwise. So again, why so angry 😡 what drives this contempt towards the doctrine?
you are driving a false narrative in order to try and take control over how people here have responded

no one said what you are trying to state they did

read it again

Man made fictions seldom make sense.
I find it to be more like God creates sin when he created laws that are impossible to follow perfectly. And that failure is sin. What makes little sense is that he then creates people to be born sinners first. And they can't leave that state unless they're one of the chosen ones he predetermined to save before they were born lost.
If he was going to save them because they're that special why would he let them be born a sinner so that they sin, first? And after they behave by their God given nature, God decides the time and place to save them from that by his actions toward them. Because he made them incapable of choosing him on their own.

That just doesn't pass the smell test.

right except God didn't create but I understand what you are saying about the law

Calvinists portray a false portrait of God in their own image

I will never understand this view because it is demonic and needs no explanation

God is not double minded and does not create sin nor those who sin with no hope of salvation

You claim those who align with Calvin's interpretation are guilty of idolatry, worshiping a false God...

Or, because it isn't there and what is happening for people that first believe it is, is known as confirmation bias.

I missed that version. "In the beginning God created robots in his image and likeness." No free will, no free choice.

That means everything is God's doing.
Think Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, Wacco, Noah's flood.

Comparing our beliefs to a Manson cult...

These statements can only be interpreted as hatred, and thats fine. Hatred of false doctrine is a biblical response, from a Christian.

But when a simple question is asked, why do you hate the doctrine, you respond with a gasp, "oh my, hate is such a strong word, we didn't say the word hate, you're just trying to start a fight". 🤦‍♂️ this is classic deflection.

Deflection: A method of changing the course of an object, an emotion or thought from its original source. Psychological deflection is seen as a narcissistic abuse tactic used to control the mind and emotions of others. Nevertheless, psychological deflection is not only a narcissistic tool but also a coping mechanism strategy. Individuals who use it seek to mask their own impulses by denying their mistakes and projecting them on the people around them.

So, I'll ask the question again. Why do you hate the doctrine?

Robs Jesus Christ of the glory that is His.

The OP injected the false idea of libertarian free will into the thread. Ask yourself the question: did Adam have a libertarian free will before he transgressed in the garden? Then consider if God our Father has a libertarian free will.

We are to beware of those who pose questions that are intended to mislead.

Even when you think you are resisting his will, you are not.

Study Joseph's brothers...they sold him into slavery, but Joseph told them, in fact, that they did God's will, even when they were sinning.

Same thing with the evil people who crucified Christ. They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.

But..this blows a circuit in the free-willer brain :D
That’s all concerning the promised seed of Genesis 3:15. Nice try though.

I don’t have a hatred towards Calvinists. His private interpretation of scripture is not biblical.

because a new heart is needed to produce faith and repentance.
Completely backwards.

Ezekiel 18
18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and live ye.

actually, Calvinists claim that those who believe we do have choice worship a weak and false God. you entered the conversation late, decided to choose a side and now you are carrying water for the Calvinists. further, do you know ANYTHING about Calvin at all? do you know anything about the deep Catholic influence injected into his beliefs? have you bothered to do search out any prior threads concerning this subject? probably not. so go learn something and actually show you know what you are talking about rather than trying to continue with your ad hominem attacks

you don't see all the scribbling the op has at the end of every post? you don't see them? you obviously agree with them

garbage. hatred is your word and I guess a part of your vocabulary and a very handy little tool you attempt to use to put people in the wrong who never said anything close to what you claim

But when a simple question is asked, why do you hate the doctrine, you respond with a gasp, "oh my, hate is such a strong word, we didn't say the word hate, you're just trying to start a fight". 🤦‍♂️ this is classic deflection.

oh please. it seems you have an aversion to the truth. that is where your troubles begin. with yourself. grow up. stop inserting words and then attributing them to others. it's really a very unChristian habit you seem to have

you seem to inject your little additions to what was posted in a way that suggests it is well nigh impossible to have an actual conversation with you

no one compare beliefs to a Manson cult. read it again and pray for understanding because it seems you need some.

however, I see something very interesting in what you said here. first you say you are not a Calvinist but here you say state OUR beliefs. what should we make of that? I say if it walks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck it's a duck .

you actually make me queasy the way you change what people say while doing that yourself and that applies to threads you have started as well. I especially liked the one where you posed a make believe situation without stating it was make believe and then state on the second page that you did not want to state it was false because people would let you have it. well dude, YOU created the very situation where people question your veracity and see no reason to think otherwise as you continue to misquote, insert false scenarios and say others did that

Did you cast away all your transgressions and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit?

Most people who call themselves Christian need a Saviour, which is why they call themselves Christian.

Not in Calvin’s fatalist system.
Calvinists response: “Are we to question God? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?”😎
John Calvin was one mentally disturbed individual as we know. To think he would rework Gods plan of Salvation into his fatalist elitist terms and conditions is to recognize a malignant narcissist and if not psychopath, sociopath, of the highest order.
This topic of Calvin has been talked to death here already. Imagine the countless souls that John Calvin's lie laid at the gates of Hell when they open. He , responsible first and foremost, will be front and center before the throne to answer for all those souls standing behind him, whom he led to destruction. The Theologian of Satan's bible.
May God have mercy on all John Calvin's victims, as he was also a mass murderer. If not directly responsible, by proxy, in accomplice to that evil end.

Too late for John and those poor deluded souls he purposefully deceived through his manipulations, thinking to leave a legacy with his name inscribed in some way or other, if not directly. May God have mercy on his victims.
Gods will be done upon John Calvin. He who had every chance to repent and turn from his evil, and rather than listen to truth, had murdered those who would care to make that noble effort.

Odd how they seem to twist scripture much the same way Dave_L does. All these people here who follow false doctrine and care not their souls are at risk. Very sad. Worse, they hope to persuade people who are on the righteous path to follow them. Even sadder still.

Even God does not have free will. He is subject to his eternal decree which is perfect. Being perfect any change would be to imperfection.

Yes.

This is exactly the way it works for all to be truly saved. You are not kicking against me, you are kicking against the Holy inspired Word of God. All I posted was Scripture. Scripture that states that we must turn our hearts, minds, and eyes towards Jesus in order to be saved. Please do not insinuate that I do not believe I need a Saviour. That is not what Ezekiel 18 is saying.

18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

No you are not grasping the situation clearly. God is not subject to His decree. God is demonstrating His character. His character dictates His decrees. Mans character is flawed from the fall and tends to make wrong choices. God has amended His decrees to accommodate mans flawed character. It is part of Gods mecry.
