Consumed with hatred ? lol .. I know how to act like a gentleman and a Christian .. I hate what God hates ''abomination'' .. And I think before I'd let one of those forbid to marry priests put a cracker in my mouth with those perverted hands I'd tell him he'd sooner call a priest .. You ?
Let's be careful of our attitude. Yes, there are priests that have abused children. But there are also preachers that have done the same. A preacher I use to sit under, his son became a preacher also. I found out that he was up on charges for messing with young girls. Don't know what ever came of it. Another pastor I sat under, he slept with his worship leader and is now living with her leaving his wife of more than 20yrs and children behind for his "new" children and woman. So let's not act like there is not sin in the camp. While there are things Catholics teach that are false doctrine, there are things they have right. And I don't believe Catholics as a whole don't know God or are on their way to hell. I know many very sincere Catholics that are just as upset over what some priests have done as we are. Many have left the church because of it. So let's be fair and not hammer our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Fine to point out and discuss errors. But let's not attack one another. It's unbecoming.

Catholics have not changed the Ten Commandments.
I started a thread explaining this but no-one responded.

Hi...
Can you answer me why the pope is seen many times kissing the feet of " jesus " on a cross , and why idolatry is such a huge thing when it is clearly against God`s word...

We are told to have no graven images , yet the catholics do love to have them , and to be honest , the religion is steeped in idolatry , and teaching about purgatory , with all these things , and there is loads more , how can this religion bring people through the small and narrow gate...

I was brought up by nuns , many lovely and wicked ones , and we were told to pray to her while we felt the rosary beads through our fingers , 10 hail Marys , and ONE our Father...

Hey brother, I'd go a little further and say the Word is the antidote to any false doctrine. While the Catholic church started with the right intent, man made doctrines got in the way. There are many things they have right, but there are serious errors also. It is a pity when man gets in the way and changes the truth for a lie.

Amen, my Lady. I should have made mention that protestants read scripture whereas Catholics are discouraged from doing so. You are 100% correct, the Word is the antidote.

I would not say they are discouraged so much anymore, however they are encouraged to read them and understand them through the Catholic lens... which pretty much is like discouraging them I guess.

has anyone here forgotten praying to Mary and dead saints? has everyone forgotten about bowing down to statues, having priest work between you and Jesus? re-sacrificing Christ in every mass, being the leader in the ecumenical movement, not allowing priests to marry, extra biblical rules and regulations put on people such as fast times and occultic imagery and so many things.
extra biblical rules and regulations put on people
Sounds similar in many cases to a few protestant denominations. Somethings people go through to get recognized as a Pastor is crazy. On top of a degree some denominations have tests, extra training, almost like clinical trials, and some churches are focused more on tithing, focused more on entertainment, or sugar coated messages 100% of the time. I'm sure we can list more.

Not defending Catholic practices but we have some ugly practices and traditions too.

They also have changed the 10 commandments , hence why they are not taught about worshipping idols...

So catholic falsify the gospel or false prophet

Jesus warn there Will be false prophet, and that is catholic

Remember to love them is to tell the truth about their religion. They are deserve our love, they are a victim of luciferian religion. Their religion bring them to new world order the satanic government the antichrist government

Luther did not understand the book of James just like today so many think he contradicts Paul he does not.

Works have no role whatsoever in salvation

The Catholic Church preaches a false Gospel...actually it preaches no Gospel

And criticizing their rhetoric and their canon has nothing to do whatsoever with how one regards the parishioners and the clergy as individuals.

And beyond that the "institution" has been the author of much evil in this world ...it does not take much to do the research.
And beyond that the "institution" has been the author of much evil in this world ...it does not take much to do the research.
On the idea of evil. It is true that the institution has historically committed much evil in the world. Just curious do you judge that from the actions of historical figures or their religious texts?

For example you will hear the argument that Christians have committed much evil in the world. But we stop and ask do we judge the religion based on the actions of individuals or by what the religion teaches?

Obviously we judge the religion based on what it teaches because anyone could commit evil or fall from what the Bible says. But just because a follower committed evil doesn't make the religion evil.

Another example. You often hear Islam is the religion of peace. Well much evil is committed in its name but what does their so claimed holy texts say? Of course most of us know that in the Quran, Hadiths, and the Seerah they do record to commit jihad on unbelievers especially Jews and Christians.

The bible formula is

Faith alone > salvation and good work is by product of salvation not produce salvation. This is AL the way around

Jesus say
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

In other word a branch or a man can not bear fruit or do good work of itself

Only If a man abide or have faith in Jesus than Jesus Will bear fruit or do good work through him

To say good work produce salvation is reverse God word, It is evil doctrine.

Catholics haven't changed the Ten Commandments. Didn't anybody read the link I gave?

Let me ask a couple of questions.

1. Most Protestants treat Ex 20:3-4 as two commandments.
Why?

2. Jews treat Ex 20:3-4 as one commandment.
Who is more likely to understand the way God intended the Ten Commandments to be structured - Protestants or Jews, the people God gave the commandments to?

There is no missing commandments.
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church
Article 1

THE FIRST COMMANDMENT

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them.
It is written: "You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve."

Under the section:- IV. "You Shall Not Make For Yourself a Graven Image . . ." there are four paragraphs (2129 – 2132) discussing this part of the commandment

Nothing is missing
