Jesus used this example when He told Peter that this was how many times we should forgive others (Matthew 18:21-22.)

It might metaphorically apply to the number of times we can ask about something as well, but the original Biblical context is the number of times we should be willing to forgive.

* The fact that we are TOLD to present our requests to God (Philippians 4:6-7) -- but how many times should we make the same requests?
This is a question that is underestimated. I believe we should keep making the same request until we receive the answer, i have a good record on answered prayers. A good 93%. It hasnt been easy, it takes alot of persistence in my case, sometimes i fight for something for years before i receive the answer. For example, it took me 3 years before i was accepted as an ICT apprentice, it took me 4 years to work at poundland. I applied for these things often, and kept praying and taking steps of faith.
