Look at Luke 13:7 regarding a tree that isn't bearing fruit.

Look at what can happen to that tree after it has received nourishment if it continues to bear no fruit.

The "tree" that Yeshua/Jesus was speaking of was a "fig tree" that represented the Pharisees - after 3 years of the Messiah being among them, there was no fruit - lots of "fig leaves" but no fruit.

The fruit God was looking for was repentance unto SALVATION - belief to receive by faith Yeshua/Jesus as Messiah - Savior and Lord.

6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

The request to give another year for the fig tree was because Yeshua/Jesus wanted His Father to wait until after His Death, Burial, Resurrection and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.

You are wrong.

I seem to recall a late night meeting Yeshua/Jesus had with a Pharisee named Nicodemus........ something about being "born again"......... Take a look at John chapter 3.

Also, Yeshua/Jesus spoke often to the Pharisees in public........ "Woe unto you Pharisees, you hyprocrites!" :unsure:

Did Paul identify himself as Pharisee after converting?

A better way of putting it is; what is written was not SOLELY for the Pharisees learning.

Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord (James 4:9-10).

I suspect these scriptures will have "no effect" due to a tradition of men that has corrupted so many (Mark 7:13).

There truly are scoffers in the last time (2 Peter 3:3).

The tradition of men is....... 'I secure my own salvation by my performance."

God states clearly this is how He saves (done)......

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
Ephesians 2:8
