What if Daniel did have a gap between the 69th and 70th weeks?

I had a little help.
The only thing I didn't mention is that when you actually check the math on a calculator you might find get 176,295 days
(121 days off)....but that's because we use a roman calendar of 365 days. But the Jews had a 360 day calendar. So when you account for these 173,880 days (with a Jewish calendar), it leads right up to the Jesus' Triumphal entry perfectly.
If you like specific timetable prophecy that matches the events occurring here in the earth, you are going to love this.
BTW, the FACT that Israel is now "pre-gathered" should have silenced the critics, preterists and amillennialists once and for all.
Its all happening folks. Exacting, perfect fulfillment of the very letter of prophecy to the microsecond.

The 70 years of servitude, to be consistent, should be reckoned as 25,200 days, or two days short of 69 years on our Roman calendar. The first siege of Nebuchadnezzar, in 606 B.C., began the "Servitude of the Nation," which lasted until the summer of 537 B.C. If July 23, 537 B.C. was the time of their release:

-537y 7m 23d
+1 (no year "0")
2483y 9m 21d

1948 5 14

On May 14, 1948, the nation Israel was reestablished on the world scene. A remarkable coincidence. Isaiah appears to have highlighted this very restoration:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. -Isaiah 11:11, 12

Yet, there is another alternative application of the 2520 years:

The "Desolations of Jerusalem"?

The third siege of Nebuchad-nezzar, in 587 B.C., began the "Desolations of Jerusalem," which lasted until 518 B.C. If August 16, 518 B.C. was the completion of the walls of Jerusalem, then:

-518y 8m 16d
+1 (no year "0")
2483y 9m 21d

1967 6 7

On June 7, 1967, as a result of the Six Day War, the Biblical city of Old Jerusalem was restored to the nation. Another remarkable coincidence!

It should be borne in mind that the "starting" dates are not known precisely to the day. More research needs to be done. But this certainly seems provocative enough to ponder.

Jesus changed all OT kingdom prophecy into symbolic representations of New Covenant Israel. Also called the Church. You offer only a Pharisaic interpretation of the OT if you do not put Him first and use his interpretations.

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of verses that say this exact same thing.....
Any view other than premillennialism and the restoration of Israel on the earth is heresy.

Jeremiah 30

“And it shall come to pass in that day, declares the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and I will burst your bonds, and foreigners shall no more make a servant of him. But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

“Then fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the Lord,
nor be dismayed, O Israel;
for behold, I will save you from far away,
and your offspring from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease,
and none shall make him afraid.
For I am with you to save you,
declares the Lord;
I will make a full end of all the nations
among whom I scattered you,
but of you I will not make a full end.

Jesus said "every eye will see Him".

That's Jesus' "interpretation". "See" means physically with the eyes.

Missing would be everything in scripture between Jesus’ baptism in the autumn of 27 AD., the onset of the 70th week. Running up through Stephen’s martyrdom in the autumn of 34 AD. Which marks the end of the 70th week.

This would mean no Christianity of the 70th week. No savior Jesus. No gospel. No crucifixion. No Pentecost or Holy Spirit. Or anything else that depends on all the missing pieces destroyed in the gap.

It would mean only a future Antichrist, exchanged for Christ in the 70th week. A Temple with Animal sacrifices. A different Messiah than the New Covenant provided. And centuries of wasted lives now in hell from what we would then call the cult of Christendom.

In fact, I just noticed the rest of the verse:

"BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen."

Is this talking about a spiritual earth @Dave-L ?

That's correct because "Christianity" as we know it is the Church age, which ends before the 70th week begins right after the rapture.
The 70th week (7 years of tribulation, i.e. "Jacob's trouble") is for.......wait for it........Jacob (the nation Israel).

Right.

That's why Peter said, in Acts 3:21,

"21 whom indeed it behooves heaven to receive until the times of restoration of all things of which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from the age. " [i.e. the completion of OT prophecies that will find their "fulfillment" YET FUTURE--INCLUDING the promised and prophesied [per THESE ^ OT prophecies ^ ] EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom which will commence upon His "RETURN" to the earth Rev19]

[consistent with Luke 21:24's "UNTIL" and v.32's "TILL ALL be fulfilled" [incl'd everything v.24 JUST SAID!], and Hosea 5:14-15's "TILL" and Romans 11:25[15]'s "blindness[/hardening] ... UNTIL" and another "UNTIL" in Micah 5:3, on and on...]

Indeed. Spoken by Peter post-Pentecost no less!

Absolutely crystal clear, stated so many times, by so many prophets and so often that there is no excuse, and alternative views are inexcusable.

This necessitated the setting aside of the nation Israel for a season in order that His new program for the church might be instituted. Christ predicted the setting aside of the nation (Matt. 21:42–43).

Because this prophecy is "for your people" (vs 24=The Jews, not the Gentiles)...
...The present Church Age is the interval between the 69th and 70th “sevens.”
There is no gap in Daniel, neither was there a "setting aside of Israel for his new program". This is a dispensational invention.

The church, built on the foundation of the apostles was and is the "program". The "program" was to gather the 12 tribes to Messiah which would include Gentiles.

(Rom 11:7 What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened.)

Paul states the chosen have obtained what blinded Israel was seeking. This means that blinded Israel was not seeking what was being given which would be a physical kingdom.

Thus dispensationalism is presenting the same "theology" of blinded Israel.

You can't change Jesus' words "my kingdom is not of this world" to "my kingdom is not of this world until 2000 years later".
