Hey everyone,
Between new neighbors with a menagerie of pets I hope to meet after the lockdown and all the current talk about cats vs. dogs, I was wondering how many people here have had pets who were better at choosing the people in their life than they were!
For instance:
* Have you had dates or friends that your pet liked, but you didn't? (What wound up happening?)
* Have you had dates or friends that your pet did NOT like, but you did, and so you kept that person around? How did your pet feel about it?
*** In the end, who was a better judge of character -- you or your pet? And did it get to a point where you would start to trust your pet's sense of trust better than your own?
Also:
* Have you ever hung on to someone just because you wanted to continue to see their pet (but didn't particularly want to see their human?)
* Have you ever been through a breakup in which you had to decide which person the pet was going to live with? How did it get resolved? If you were the one to "lose" the "custody" battle, did you wind up having "visitations" with said pet?
Of course, all of these scenarios aren't just for dates or friends, but most anyone in our lives -- family members, co-workers, etc., so anyone who has experienced this in any way is welcome to share their stories.
I'm curious to see the extent to which people's furry friends influence their decisions about their human company.
