Looks like it’s a good many clashes in the threads because we’re all a totally different manufactured bunch of people😁.

Sometimes I just want to cringe when people don’t agree with me, but then I’m thinking...maybe I’m expecting too much from people who are not like me?

Why?

Because I’m me, and you people are you😁.

You have lived your lives in a totally different fashion, and none of us can compare to each other.

So, here’s me:

I’m an extroverted, lighthearted, not too bright lady from America. I have a tendency of saying the wrong things at the wrong time, I don’t always get the mind games people are playing, and I’m sometimes taking things literally when I’m supposed to take them figuratively.

I forget faces, names and I speak English with a French accent.

There’s more, but I can’t remember any of it right now😁.

Finally...who are you?

I am simple, I am happy, I am silly. I love to laugh and I love taking pictures of nature. I dont like confrontation cause I'm easy going. I'm a southern lady but without much sass. I say "yes ma'am" and "yes sir". I love to help out and spend time with/helping others, but I need time alone to recharge. I love the Lord but I fail Him often. He loves me more and never fails me. Thats all I can think of.

First thing that started going through my head was the After the Fox opening song: Who is the Fox? I am the Fox. Who are you? I am me. Who is Me? (and then it just kind of gets irrelevant to this thread).

Anyway I'm cinder and if you read the book by that name you'll think I'm an awesome cyborg mechanic with a really horrible living situation (and you might even find out that I originally came from the moon and share some of their unique features). Oh and also that there is conceivably a plague that is worse than Covid. That wouldn't be true (well except the worse plague part), but it sure would make me more interesting so go with that.

Otherwise I'm one of those people to whom the following shirt slogan could apply: I'm a book nerd. That means I live in a crazy fantasy world with unrealistic expectations. Thank you for understanding.

But really I'm just a person who has a hard time answering questions like this seriously because a serious answer would be quite long and meandering and cause a whole lot of analysis paralysis and pondering the meaning of life and what makes a person a unique individual.

That’s a heartbreaking story, my friend. I feel you. I have had periods of life that have felt like dead ends myself. I will be praying for you❤️.

Being a nobody is quite liberating. It is much more stressful, tedious and downright boring to be a somebody. As a nobody I don't have to give a fart in a whirlwind about popularity or... well, a lot of things many people have to worry about.

It sounds like you've stopped trying to get anywhere. And I think there's a difference between going nowhere because you stopped trying to move and get anywhere and trying to go somewhere and just not getting anywhere even if your location and circumstances don't change in either case. Or as the wise man once said: When you're going through hell, don't stop and make camp.

I’m Melita. I’m an introvert who likes pizza, ice cream, and chocolate. I sing all the time. I play the violin. I try to look at things from all kinds of perspective before commenting with an opinion, but in the end, I always need the Holy Spirit to guide me in the right direction because I’m selfish and fleshy.

Actually, I think it was Winston Churchill That was quoted as saying. " If you are going though hell, Keep going" Bu the point was well taken...

You're probably right, I have a tendency to remember the good things I hear rather than who said them or where I heard them.

Sorry, That was one of those things that you think you are the only one who read this 20 years ago and then you mentioned it. Lol...

Winston Churchill apparently suffered depression.
I think most people have either in themselves or they went through an economic depression. some generations are luckier than others though. People dont always want to define themselves by generation but its true there is a huge generation gap where people dont understand each other cos they havent been through similar events.

I don't know. I think my generation was pretty good. Would'nt trade it for any other. But you are right, I am finding it hard to relate to the newer gen. Gap...

what is your generation? I cant tell. When were you born? the majority at the moment still the baby boomers those born after 1945. The generation after them are called generation X and then after them its the millenials.

people tried to say their was a 'pepsi generation' but i think that was just a marketing ploy. Those who grew up in the 80s are a subset known as generation Y.

Not quite X but Y as in...why are we here???? Talk about an existential crisis. Everyones trying to blow the world up and somehow we are the ones to try and carry it on???

He's a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his nowhere land,
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody.

Seriously, I don't believe a word that you have said except for the partial last sentence. "My life is a (fill in the blank). Now you know the rest of the story".

I once had the same mindset that you now have as I was traveling down a rough patch of road. My prayer is, by the grace of God, you will start a new paradigm, for you are indeed a somebody who is going places.

I am the wasp that secretly flew into your car and hid in the backseats, but didn't reveal myself until you made it onto the freeway.
Think i'll just fly up and bang up against the front windows for a while.....Try not to panic lol.
