Yes, the Bible calls our sins, "a disease." But those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord (God) of their life, are "healed" of that terrible disease, so that they will have eternal life in heaven, if they remain faithful in serving Him through this life.
1 Cor 15:22

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Note: the man who was moved by the Holy Spirit to write down what was given him to write most likely knew grace and mercy and had more faith than anyone here. This is why his plea in the Spirit is a gift to us all from the Father, just a hint as to how many did not have the veil of Moses blinding them to the truth of the law and the prophets...……..
