Is Jesus the Lion of Judah?

In Rev 5:5 it describes the Lamb as the Lion of Judah and the Root of David. In Rev 22:16 Jesus declares who he is by stating that "I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star." When Jesus is describing who he is why doesn't he say he is the Lion of Judah when it seems clear he is the Lamb of God? There seems to be a reason he left out the Lion of Judah when he describes himself. Why did he leave it out of the description or is it not significant that he left out the Lion of Judah? What are your thoughts?

Once John proclaims Jesus a the Lion of Judah he doesn't have yo keep proclaiming it.

By the same token John proclaimed that Jesus is the Root of David and Jesus included that in his statement so why leave out the Lion of Judah?

John didn't calling him the morning star while Jesus said he is, why didn't John call him that?

Right...so is there a slight difference between the Lamb and Jesus? Could Jesus be the angel of the Lamb?

Which verse are you referring to with "angel of the lamb"

i'm just pointing out that if there is a slight difference between the Lamb and Jesus then the slight difference is that Jesus may be the angel of the Lamb.

When he comes as the Lamb he is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, but when he comes as Jesus he is not the Lion but rather the Bright Morning Star. And I might add when he comes as the Word of God he wears many crowns and comes as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He is not the lion. the lion kills the lamb but the lamb is resurrected. Jesus cannot be both, and its said throughout revelation about 20 times he is the Lamb of God (and in gospel of John) so I dont know why people keep insisting hes the lion.

They must be reading too much Narnia, which is not scripture, its a fantasy tale.

Rev 5:5 says that the Lamb is the Lion of the tribe of Judah so if Jesus is the Lamb he is also the Lion. And scripture says that the devil roams around like a roaring lion the devil is NOT the lion he only acts like it. Jesus is the Lamb of God but the Lamb is also the Lion.

Please reread my post...i did not say that the devil IS the lion i said the devil is NOT the lion.

I believe that we first see the association between a lion and Jesus in Jacob's blessing of his son, Judah (a passage where Jacob also makes prophetic statements about King David, and his Son, the Messiah .. who comes from the tribe of Judah .. e.g. Matthew 2:6; Hebrews 7:14).
