But only until the Revelation of Jesus Christ written by John (condensed).
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is about the Return of Jesus Christ in the clouds. We look for his Revelation from heaven to change our bodies and be like him. It is not about the writing of a book of the bible.

“The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ,” does not mean a communicated message, but the coming, appearing, manifestation, uncovering, presentation, of JESUS CHRIST in person. Dr. Ebrard remarks in his Commentary, that the word apokalupsis should be translated enthullung, unveiling, uncovering. Dr. Bleek admits, in his Lectures on the Apocalypse, that “the genitive after apokalupsis stands in the New Testament (even in this combination with Christou, <460107>1 Corinthians 1:7; <530107>2 Thessalonians 1:7; <600107>1 Peter 1:7-13), as a genitive of the object of what comes forth, as being revealed.” Here Jesus Christ is the genitive of object. The Apocalypse would therefore be the coming, revealing, appearing, or manifestation of Himself, the Revelation of Him, not to Him. Dr. Lucke, in his work on the Apocalypse, for the same grammatical reasons, considers that “The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ,” means “the unveiling of Christ in His majesty, as His glorious appearing.” So also Dr. Heinrichs. And there is every reason for the conclusion that the great theme and subject of this Book is the Coming of Christ, the Apocalypse of Himself, His own personal manifestation and unveiling in the scenes and administrations of the great Day of the Lord. If you would, please read Post #79 and give Dave-L some space in case he decides to take the few days off as suggested. Thanks.

No, Paul says it will ALSO confirm you to the end. The book of Revelation signaled the end of the Charismatic gifts. Scripture (perfect) replaced them (incomplete partial knowledge.) If you have the gifts prove it. They were meant to be seen. Where are they?

Dave,
You shouldn't try to bypass the fact that Prophesying is still operational all the way into Revelation chapter 11. There is no biblical support of a NEW need for prophesying AFTER "that which is perfect has come".

If he were talking about the book of revelation (rather than the actual REVEALING) then prophesying should already have ceased (according to your proposal) because we already have the book of Revelation. The very book you rely on for justification of your doctrine (the book of Revelation) itself disproves your doctrine.

You would be wise to take a few days away from the thread and cease proclaiming a doctrine which is so obviously false. I currently question whether you will use that much wisdom but I would actually love to find myself having underestimated you in that regard.

Meanwhile I will be praying FOR you, not against you.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby
Revelation finished scripture which ended the gifts. You are adding gibberish to God's word and talking about things you cannot prove.

Here's your proof:

Revelation 11:3 KJV
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Revelation is symbolic. Do you expect to see any red dragons anytime soon?

Tongues is the prophecy of God spoken in all the languages of the world

All spiritual gifts remain to include declaring prophecy (prophesying) which is complete .No such thing as Charismatic gifts. Spiritual gifts not seen yes.

Self edifying gifts as wonderments using the apostles as gods in the likeness of men = blasphemy.

Why have you missed Revelation's message until now when many have seen it fulfilled and to continue being fulfilled? Because you look for the symbol to come, instead of what the symbol represents.

As an FYI to the room: The bible says "Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee" & "Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning".

Therefore, I will likely cease to address particular parties, and will attempt to address wise men (and women) who more readily receive instruction.

But you cannot prove it.
Scripture proves scripture. We are instructed to compare the spiritual understanding to the spiritual unseen using the tools he has provided.. The things not seen the eternal to the same .Faith to faith. . the gospel

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual (unseen) things with spiritual (unseen). But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.14

Those who elevate the corrupted hands of men making them gods in the likeness of men are so foolish. Rather than God creating mankind in his likeness, the likeness of two working as one. They turn his law upside down taking away his understanding. Mocking him with senseless sounds falling backwards mocking the spirit of judgement

Therefore placing their love for the oral traditions as commandment of men above sola scriptura.

Again you have simply redefined the word apostle (sent one) as a form of plagiarism . Just as Catholisicim. Giving the illusion or power of the gospel and accredited it to hands of corrupted mankind. That lord over the faith of Christ having it in respect to the apostles . Venerable ones in whom the pew non venerable must heed to and seek their approval .

I can prove it and you could if you looked to the foundation of the law .

Not sure why those who seek after wonderments and not prophecy called the tongue of God refuse to look to the law?.

Where do they think the idea of making senseless sounds and fall backward as a wonderment?

Why make the apostles gods in the likeness of men? Simon sorcery desired to deceive other for $$$$$$$.

What's your hope?

Scripture is a symbol? What does it represent ?

Tongues/prophecy = knew in part. Scripture = complete knowledge.
So... you have the complete Bible. Do you therefore have complete knowledge of God?

In a word, No.

Amen Yes, only that which he decided to reveal.

Concealing what he has revealed to us in parables. Giving his new kingdoms of priest a living will to search out the spiritual understanding as he work in us, with us, to make it possible to rest in His love and great mercy.

He shares that with us in a old testament parable A parable to help us understand how to walk by faith. And search for the unsearchable "golden measure of faith". Not the measure of man the searchable literal .

Proverbs 25:1-3 King James Version (KJV) These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.

We are given the honor or power that works from within. No power from the corrupted.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

But you need to learn from scripture. Not make it say what you think it should say.
The same scripture that you make without effect in order to promote a sign and lying wonders gospel. The same that mock prophecy. . the tongue of God..... not sense less sounds as endless wonderment ?

The same scripture where you clearly changed the meaning of the word "apostle" which means "sent one"

It does not mean ; all powerful healing ones. Apostles as gods in the likeness of men.

Apostle = sent one . Abel the first recorded. Members on this board other apostles .

Are you a apostle. Did God sent you here?

I have shown that you make it say what you desire by offering a few verses . You say but do not. You have not offered one verse. The bible defines the words and the usage .You simply re-define the words destroying the use . Like the word apostle your favorite key for changing the context and taking away the authority or power of God's word.

That power works in apostles . Not of coming from their corrupted flesh and blood. .as if God was served by human hands and needed something from the lifeless clay he forms Christ in.

Have you looked at the foundation of the tongue doctrine in Isaiah as a law? , It is revisited in 1 Corinthians 14 :22-23?

I think a person who looks at that law in both places and still thinks the sign they call wonderment supports making a senseless sounds and calls that prophecy. They are is only deceiving themselves to gain some kind of wonderment (look I did it, I self edified myself ).

How in the world would that support knowing God? A secret code?

Tongues is simply prophecy spoken from God to all the nations of the world .Prophecy reveals mystery. It not a mystery that cannot be made known.

The mystery is why someone would wonder in a state of confusion fall backward slain in the Spirit. Then by the same work of those angels hands that prevented injury they ressurection rising "the person. Filing them with more wonderment, amazement, marveling how they get filled again and again. and put Christ who dwells in them to an open shame

Hebrew 6 speaks of those like the Pharisees with Sadducees who tasted the word of God and added a little personal sugar to their oral tradition. Wonderfully turning it into unknow wonders as 5 minute fill ups .

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrew 6

If it's a false prophet you listen to, you deny Christ.
That does not follow.

Denial of Christ is fundamentally distinct from following a false prophet. People make errors of judgment at times; that does not undo their salvation.
