Hello Everyone. I just started a few days ago on this site to see if I could find people to converse with about the works that God is doing or has done in their lives. I appreciate sharing stories that build up our faith and help to build up our spirits and encourage. And although I have already seen some instances of quarreling on this site...(I'm not a fan of that)...I'm hanging around to see if I can find other Christians who enjoy talking about how God is actively working in their lives. As a point of reference, I am in my late 50's, and I was raised somewhat Catholic, then non-denominational. I was saved at 15 and became Pentecostal at 17. I have lived through many hills and valleys. And God has always been there...and I've survived! LOL

Hello Trula, it's really good to have you with us. Everywhere we go in life we will find people who love to argue for the sake of arguing. Here at Christian Chat you will also find many really nice people who are willing to help others. And perhaps you can help others in some way. It's a two way street here at Christian Chat.

Look through the forums, maybe the miscellaneous forum, to find a thread that interests you and join in on the conversation, or start your own thread with a subject that you would like to discuss with others. I believe you may be surprised at the responses you receive.

AMEN, sister Trula! Well said.:) Sorry about the quarreling. I agree that it ought not be so. Give it time. There are some really beautiful people on here. I will pray that you find many dear and precious friends quickly.:) God Bless you.

Based on your introductory post I would say that you're going to fit right in here. Sharing stories that build up our faith that help build up our spirits and providing encouragement is what happens here. The thing about the quarreling, you have to understand that we are all family here and as in most families there is the occasional squabble.

There are quite a few Catholics and former Catholics here, including myself, so you should feel right at home.

I understand about the hills and valleys, as stated in the 23rd Psalm, "Yea, though I walk through valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for You are with me..". Like yourself, I'm a survivor too.

Glad to have you as part of our family. Looking forward to your posts. Welcome to CC.
