Hello! I have struggled with blasphemous thoughts over the course of a few months but God delivered me from it. However, the thoughts have recently come back and I can't tell if they're my thoughts or not. These thoughts are similar to what the Pharisees said about Jesus and also towards the holy spirit. My heart feels like it's hardened and I barely feel conviction anymore. Is there a way to tell if I have committed this sin?

Generally speaking, people who are not saved do not usually concern themselves with such things.

Stand Strong and be patient .. You have the power in Jesus name to speak in His name and rebuke those thoughts again and again no matter how often it takes to begin to discipline your mind .. Learn the Word for spiritual muscle .. Pray and let the change happen, Jesus wants to change you , rejoice and give thanks .. Now is not the time to sit down, you have places to go and things to do in Jesus

I suffered so bad with what you are talking about , I mean it was OCD , I was petrified...
I searched online about it and found the name , I cannot remember it off by heart , but I can find it if you want me to...

I still get them now and then , but I am not threatened by them no more , and they are not OCD in my head , even seeing your post about them would of one time triggered the thoughts...

There is a great audio book on youtube by John Bunyan , he also suffered with such thoughts , that book also helped me...

That's just the devil trying to mess with your head. If you're born again, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The term"adversary" that Peter uses to describe him,in the Greek, means "anti-righteous." If he can get you to think that those thoughts are your own, then you'll feel that your relationship with God is distant, but it's all smoke and mirrors to distract you. God is ALWAYS there, and ready to help you. He knows what's going on,and loves you. Romans 8 says nothing can separate us from His love. Just renew your mind with the Word, and laugh when those thoughts come. If you spend all of your time rebuking them, like I did, you'll wear yourself out,and you'll also let the enemy know that you can still be messed with.

You're very welcome. I know exactly what you've been going through, and here's a thought. If you're worried that you've did the unpardonable sin,you haven't. Not accepting Jesus is the unpardonable sin

As you can see from the posts in your introductory thread you are not alone in this and it seems to be quite common. There have been times that I get unwanted intrusive thoughts too and at those times I simply turn to God in prayer. Hopefully, you will find comfort, hope, and understanding from the members of this site. Glad to have you as part of our community. Welcome to CC.
