They do go together, and one can lose their first love.

Rev 2
2:4 Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Not a reference to losing salvation, the candle stick is not salvation.

Untrue and it is you who oppose me. I oppose the teaching. You accuse me of moral evil. I say your understanding is incorrect. You say I’m am antagonist which is character, not understanding. Totally different fruit. That is my point. The fruit of OSAS is as you demonstrate.

Dotty, you and I have had this conversation so many times in the past on that old defunct thread. I form my opinion of your threads from what you said then and what you say now. The fruit of OSAS has nothing to do with what I observe from what you say.

Same....and some on this site that know the truth coddle them, refuse to oppose them, and bag us out when we stand up against their deceitful false gospels
Yes they do. I will never do such. I have always called a spade a spade and I will not back down now. The Word of God speaks for itself.

They have indeed ... and by the looks of the posts on this thread recently, I am pretty sure it will only be a short while before there is only a remnant left.

This conviction and contending for truth comes from God of this I am convinced. I am so thankful for your firm stand.:)
Amen.

I am not eloquent with words but I will never defend, coddle, give a kumbya to falseness

I am not sure on this....but I find eternally grateful knowledgeable in scripture....I have been told that if I am continually disobedient..knowingly it can end in death....?
Everyone dies. It happens to both the just and the unjust. They just say this to prop up their Calvinistic OSAS beliefs. They think/say God will kill you before He lets you "throw the keys in the lake".

1 John 5:13 reads, " I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. "

This verse is in the present tense. It says nothing about continuing to believe.
You are correct. My bad. I was thinking of John 15....

John 15
15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

You should have seen what he wrote about me and my relationship with God.

He found it gut wrenching and disturbing....the gushing love I have for the Lord....

The Lord needs to soften his heart is all I can say...so pray for him in Jesus Name....Amen!
I have. As I said, the fruit is very telling.

There is no example nor scripture that God kills a man to save him from hell. If we choose to jump off, He doesn’t tie us down. Pursue? Yes. Kill? no
