I noticed that some people pronounce "Amen" like "Ah-men" and some others pronounce like "eimen". How do you pronounce it?

I pronounce amen with the long "A" sound :) (Not long in length, but phonetically :giggle:)

The grammar rule is when a vowel is followed by a single consonant and another vowel, the first vowel is pronounced long or as is. This, like many grammar rules has its exceptions.

If you wish to be certain, instead of amen you may simply say "so be it."

does this keep you people up at night :D
You funny :D:giggle::giggle::giggle: To answer your question, though: No :)

I do however notice that I pronounce it differently than many other of
my fellow congregants, and have a desire to pronounce words properly :)

I have frankly said it both ways and also I have sometimes just simply said "let it be done/let it be so" which is the rough translation of the word Amen. There's no magic power to the word, it is just a common conclusion to prayers since we ask at the end of every prayer that God's kingdom come and his will be done above all, and then therefore say "Amen/let it be done".

I have tried saying it as "Ah-men" but it does not feel right saying it that way even though many others do

I just say it I don't give it much thought really, I know what I mean and so does God, and generally other people if I am forced to pray in front of people though I avoid this generally.

lol both Ah-men and Ay-men

do you say Hallelujah or Alleluia.

I dont pronounce the H sometimes but then sometimes I do. It depends!

what about Jesus or Yesua?

or God and Gahd.

Im glad I am not dyslexic or I would be saying Dog all the time.

I thought Hallelujah and Alleluia just depended on the hymn being sang and its time period.

Yesua is not English.

Gahd is just Chicago accent.

Anyways, here is how the UK Pikeys pronounce Dog (Dag):
